Possibly. I make it a point to treat people the same regardless of gender (I may not always succeed, but I try), so it doesn't make much difference to me; I don't ask.

I know quite a few. Two of my coworkers, one of my best friends, a few other friends, and one cousin.

I'm not aware if I know any true transgender people. Do know a few who are transitioning but haven't had the genital re-assignment surgeries. IMHO, a person isn't transgender until after the surgeries.
