How many people actually know someone transgender?

I’m just curious because it is all over the news and social media. I live in a populated yet conservative area and never heard of someone becoming transgender. I am all for people wanting to do whatever they want to do in life. Live and let live, however it seems like this subject has been over ally covered do to its polarizing nature when there are a lot more things going on in the world that effects our everyday life. Like I said never even met a transgender.

I know someone who is transgender. Have known him for a decade, always knew he wasn't a heterosexual girl. There are extemists within the LGBT community but there are also people who don't take things to extreme levels.

But yeah, I agree, some people make their whole lives about sexuality when there are bigger problems in the world. But then also, to each their own. 🤷‍♀️

I live in an area where I literally cannot leave my house without seeing a tg at the gas station, the stores, restaurants, and schools. It's a fad among the school children now and referred to as "transtrender". They have several school clubs to choose from and the schools are teaching gay/lesbian sex in health class.

I want to say ahead of time I think some people truly feel like the other gender not due to mental illness and are better off transitioning. With that said the only person I know that is trans is mentally ill and that seems to be why they are transitioning.

None I'm close with but I know several. All that take hormones/blockers and so on. One other guy I'm not sure if he's trans or just gender fluid. Never asked because I don't consider it my business. Nice enough guy

I have never met a trans person in real life. However, there are a handful on GaG.

2 of my friends belong to the LGBTQ community. One of bisexual and the other is aroace. That’s about it. Then again, trans people in my country are either disowned by their family or are seen as “beneath” and are downtrodden. It’s sad, and I hope this situation changes.

Sure, I know several. Cool people and one of them is one of my best friends. In total, I probably know 5 or 6, but I'm pretty supportive of everyone lgbt so that isn't really that big of a surprise.

I live in a conservative country but we have a couple of trans celebrities here but I only know 1 person who is trans (female to male)

@BillyBalls Trans is a natural occurrence, too. It's mostly just one form or another of your female hormones, that we ALL start out with, refusing to give up to the male hormones telling your body that you''re a boy.
