I would have said Repubs, but Trump still has 40% in the bag. This may be how he wins 2024.

As both American parties are quite right wing, the democrats will be hurt more, as a true centrist party would be left of both of them.

However people in america doesn't vote based on left or right or good or bad politics, they religiously vote what they always voted, and so a third party unless they bring something gigantous to the table would just sit at 2 votes max and wouldn't hurt anybody.

You’re prob right. 90-95% of actual voters (less than half of Americans) are one party voters.

Actually, both the "major" parties need to get thrown out of power. Start voting more third party candidates into office until they are the majority. Ideally, 32% Democrat, 32% Republican, 36% Third parties. In both House and Senate.

That depends entirely on who the 3rd candidate is. Even minor parties like the Green and Reform have made enough of a difference in swing states before. Manchin is closer to a Republican than a Democrat. He's likely to take more Republicans and some Independents but few Democrats.

Yea libertarians should actually want more limited government. Example we need to stop ignoring the 9th and 10th amendment. Pretty much everything (99%) of what the federal government is doing is illegal according to the Constitution.

Example States can have environmental regulations the federal government isn’t allowed to have environmental regulations. Anything that not mentioned in the constitution is left to the states

Federal government has a right to get rid of Roe vs Wade. Because the federal government shouldn’t have a say on abortion. Since the constitution says nothing about abortion it’s left up to the states. California can have abortion up to 9 months if they want and Texas can completely outlaw abortion with no exceptions. Nebraska can get rid of all abortions and make exceptions for rape and incest and potential death of the mother. Every state gets to make its own decisions on abortion.

9th The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.

10th The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

9th amendment means there other rights not written in the constitution
10th means those right are up for the states to decide.
