We had 2 wars with Russia in the last 30 years.
I was alive during the 2nd one, it was 2008, summer, I was 11 years old and spent summer holidays at the village with my little brother, grandpa and grandma. I wasn’t well aware of what was happening but I knew it was something very scary, because they bombed the city 10 km away from my village and every time I played in the yard, I saw these planes flying over my head.( It was so scary I had a fear of airplanes for many years and every time I heard the sound of airplanes, I had nightmares and an anxiety that they were going to bomb again. )
The Russian soldiers outnumbered ours, they were killing civilians, they defeated that city and were coming to our direction. The roads were locked and no one was allowed to come there, because there was Russian army between my village and my parents, who were in Tbilisi.
I remember my parents somehow came to us that night, and took us back to our home city, there were lots of people on the roads, asking help to take them as well, we took as many people as we could. The war was very short and it soon ended, but it ended by having another part of our lands occupied.
