Speech is always "silver" (silence is "golden") and yes, talk is cheap.

Say all you want. It's a free world.

Just be prepared that no one cares what you say.

And when giving advise to another person when not asked for, be prepared for a sour relationship.

I think there is a difference in telling people not to talk about it period vs I really don't wish to talk about those subjects.
