Just fake hair with bright colors. And every one of my conservative relatives was SUPER pissed about it. Also, sneaking in to a public park with crowbars and explosives to destroy statues isn't taking political action. Vandalism and active censorship (in the form of literally destroying art depicting ideas you don't agree with) is a helluva lot more dangerous than bitching on social media.

Nor is having a statue condoning slavery. And if we limit ourselves to Civil War issues, the idea of tearing down statues of Confederate leaders while leaving those of *Lincoln* (the man who sought to enslave the whole damn NATION) intact is hypocrisy at its finest. Hell, even if we stick with actual political action, the only people to politically act against slavery's currently legal (non-penal) form were either nonpartisan (like NCFM) or Republican (like Fred Upton).

Okay so, you know how on public TV there's certain rules about what they allow and don't allow on their platform? And that's forced. Like you can't show an actual penis on public TV, even though you can show it on a private streaming platform. That could be taken as an example of public TV pushing the puritan agenda that nudity is shameful or inappropriate.

Then there's other things like, individual production company and filmmaker vakues. Some want to show queer content, so all their shows with have queer people. Some want to show Black content, so all their movies star black people. Some want Christian, so all their media contains Christian teachings. Etc. This is not an example of force, but rather an example of freedom. Imagine if TV was required to only represent a minority group as much as that minority group actually exists in the state or country they air? That would be an awful rule restricting creativity, and the choice of companies and individuals to promote their values. Do you really want to place rules on media that dictates how many people from a minority group they are allowed to hire as actors? That sounds much more like force than just allowing some companies to hire no queer people and other companies to hire all queer people. And then letting the shows and movies they produce compete on a free market to find show slots or get picked up by streaming services, which often operate based on what does well with the market of viewers, but can also have their own values they promote. And viewers can choose which streaming service or channels they give watchtime and money to.

Okay so. I'll just assume you don't know that one of best ways to protect kids from actual pedophiles is to educate them. About their own bodies. About what sexual behavior is. Basic rules of it (ie consent). So they can recognize when someone does or tries to do something inappropriate to them, and have the vocabulary and information they need to speak up for themselves and communicate that they need help quickly and why.

Or let's say me a straight person and you a gay person went to apply for a job at some company, whoever is hiring one of us shouldn't be hiring me because I'm a majority or hire you because he want to access a larger market and become more appealing to new clients and make the company more inclusive, it should be based solely on our qualifications, whoever is more suitable for the job.

Oh! Okay that makes a lot more sense. Yeah, totally, agreed. I don't think that's a divisive opinion at all. People should be hired if they can do the job well not based on other factors. And representation should come from new characters with their own stories, not by just changing one actor in a movie that's already been made. Absolutely. But I don't agree on the last sentence, apparently many left wingers are more than happy when they see a specific character in a show being rebranded as gay, or person of color, just for the sake of including one of these groups, not caring if such adjustment would do any good addition to the story, or serving the interests of these groups, that's what I was pointing at from the beginning.
