This question isn't really about drag because that's a job, but it does involve crossdressing. This is more about people who crossdress casually and not as part of their job though.

Would you consider someone who crossdresses to be part of the LGBTQ+ community because they crossdress, even though their sexuality and gender may not be LGBTQ+ (they may be straight and cis)?

Labeling oneself or others for having style choices really isn't necessary.

I'm a 64-year-old man. I make many out of the ordinary style choices all of the time. I don't need a label. I don't know that anyone could easily pigeonhole me, anyway. I am one strange man in many ways.

I consider them wherever they want to be considered.

Some crossdressers are queer, others are straight and cis (F1NNST3R) but find it lucrative/enjoyable/fun, and yet more are fashionable femboys/butches.

But tbh, if you're comfy fucking with gender expectations with fashion on a casual basis, I'm considering you at the least an ally.

Sort of but nobody ever seems to consider women in men's clothes (which happens A LOT!!) as part of that set. So, why would a guy in women's clothes be?

I wear skirts that are styled and cut to appear neutral, not strictly male nor female.
All of my other style choices, too, my body being shaved, my occasional liking to wear a little bit of eye, nail, and lip makeup, lace panties, anklets, whatever, still masculine.
I'm still a masculine man.
I believe that I'm perceived as a masculine man when engaging in social interactions.
I've never had any indication that anyone thinks otherwise (except, see last paragraph), and if they do, who cares, anyway.

Anyone else who wants to display any style they want, and to demonstrate mannerisms as they wish at any given moment, has that right and should exercise that right, with head held up high.

Before I became freer to be who I am, I used to try to hide some of my "proclivities".
I think that that "odd" behavior on my part elicited curious, possibly judgmental thoughts or behavior from others. Once I left that hesitant behavior behind, everything became so much more comfortable for me. That's not to say that there is no chance that I'll never be accosted for my style, though.

@nolabels Well, let's see, the 2nd time COULD'VE been something else! It was about an hour into the new year, we JUST finished playing a gig about 10 miles from my house and I had to rush out to catch the last bus home at a stop about a block away from the venue. So, even though it's Jan. 1st, it was pretty warm that night and I wasn't wearing my winter coat and, I didn't have the time to change out of my stage clothes, except for my pants and shoes so, there I am in a black Spandex leotard with my coat draped over my left shoulder but, I'm wearing black pants. The stop is at the intersection of an alley and a very short side street (about the length of 3 buses). These two black guys were walking through the alley in the block in front of me. I could see them and hear them talk long before they got to where I was. As they came out of the alley, I just said hello in a friendly way to them and they looked at me like I just said, "I hate you". They turned to my left and went up to the main street, turned left towards the Iron City brewery (about a block away) and, as soon as they got out of my line of vision (behind a building), this huge baseball-sized rock came sailing at my from their direction but on high (there was a high fence around that corner so, they had to throw it OVER the fence) and came inches away from hitting me in the head! I assume it was because I was wearing this black leo! It COULD'VE just been their racism.
The third time, we were just about to go on stage at the very same venue, the rest of the band was on stage and I had just finished getting changed into my stage gear: the black leo, a black scooter skirt, a pair of pantyhose and my rotten loafers. I put the leo and pantyhose on before I left the house.) There's a small door in the wall at the back of the stage that even cousin Itt would have to stoop to get through and it opened right behind my drums so, all I had to do was go through that door and sit down at my drums.

@nolabels Near the front of the stage there was some Oi boy standing there in fluorescent orange pants and other punker regalia and, as soon as he saw me in the skirt, he rushed the stage and tackled my guitarist standing right in front of my main bass drum!! He knocked Jason, WITH guitar, onto the edge of my bass drum pushing him back towards me and snapping the clamp that held the pedal onto the drum, rendering it useless! The owner, Joel Greenfield, this big biker guy that you DON'T want to fuck with, came out from behind the bar, grabbed the punker from behind and gave him the bum's rush out the front door about 75 feet away nearly smashing his own glass door in the process!!
The first time was the night we decided to hold a house party where we rehearse in the basement of Bob's house! The house was FILLED with people that came to see & hear us and I went up to the second floor to get into my skirt and tights. It was one of the first times I wore this at a gig, if not THEE first time. I started coming down the stairs and making my way to the next flight to the basement through this huge crowd of people. Suddenly, I hear 3 to 5 Oi boys commenting on the skirt and the next thing I know, they're chasing me through this tiny house yelling, "KILL THE FAGGOT!!". So, I ran back upstairs and hid in one of the bedrooms or the bathroom until they gave up on me. A few seconds later, they went away and I came back out to try to get to the basement, they saw me on the stairs and came after me again so, I hid in Johnny's room at the top of the stairs BUT, there's no latch in the door knob and no way to lock the door so, all I could do was hold it shut the best I could and block it with my shoe partly on the floor and partly on the door.

@nolabels It kept them from coming in but, they knew I was in there because the door was giving a bit near the top so, one of them reached in with a can of beer and threw it on me (most of it missed me) and another lit a match and tried to set the beer on fire and me with it!! After a moment, they ran downstairs and it sounded like they were trying to get others to help them so, I went out the window and down onto the front porch where Bob (an ex-Marine and Viet Nam veteran) and a crowd of others were talking and he said, "what the fuck are you doing climbing out the window?" I told him about the Oi boys and he rushed in with me to look for them!! We couldn't find them anywhere!! They ran away!! Moments later, we went downstairs to start the show!

I have no freakin' idea what that may be.

Next, the ability to light a beer on fire has yet to have been demonstrated in my neck of the woods.
