Do you even live in the U. S?
Either way, stop watching TV and you won't see any. TV gives the impression that people are being gunned down left and right.
In reality, there were about 15 to 16,000 annually for many years until they rose after 2020 to around 20,000. The FBI says that 80% are gang related. That means that there are currently around 4,000 non-gang related firearm homicides out of around 450,000,000 people in the country at any one time.
There are still around twice as many vehicular deaths than firearm deaths. If the news talked about those, people would be trying to ban cars.
About 40,000 die from accidental falls. And the same number dies from accidental poisoning. About 250,000 die from preventable hospital errors. Have you ever heard those mentioned?
Maybe the news should report on all the children who die of cancer or the number of innocent people the U. S. murders in foreign countries.
