I mean, yeah. I do flirt as a joke in occasion, but if you maintain it long enough it just becomes flirting

I don't know. If i started flirting as a joke with a girl, and after 5-7 minutes (kinda) we keep doing it, i would assume she likes it, and i would just start being honest. I would do the same if we dont do it for that long, but we do it a bit often. I don't know, it depends on the mood

he doesn’t literally flirt, he does give me compliments and act like we are in a relationship. He started doing that suddenly. We didn’t even have a conversation before just eye contact.
Now he still does the same but not as much as at the beginning and now it feels not the same as before, u know what i mean?

For example; the way he talks to me has changed, or the way he looks at me.
I am interested but I also don’t want to be delusional and get my feelings hurt.

Is hard for me to tell if that's actually "flirting". Either way, if you want to, You could throw him a fast ball, and if he isn't interested, he should back off, otherwise you can continue

It really depends on the mood really. I usually try to push the boundries a little bit (on a respectful way), and if i notice i am making the girl uncomfortable, i stop. For example i was with a girl (on a friends group), and she layed on my lap, so i started playing with her hair, and caress her a bit, and she didn't looked uncomfortable, so i was okay. You could try something less touchy, something verbal
