question how would y'all feel if you're long-term partner og 14 years asked your female best friend of 13 years to hook up behind my back she told me she said no thats my bestfriend than they both agreed to delete text messages an never talk about it again they both kept it secret for over 3years she finally told me because she felt bad because her partner was cheating on her an was tired of some men being disrespectful to women !!!

This is a difficult one. I don't think this is an automatic "get rid of him". One of your questions was how would I feel: I'd feel like crap. Shitty situation to be in. But you also asked what do you think. I think that you've been together for 14 years. He did a shitty thing but also he didn't do it. Like, he asked (so he gets the full measure of "shitty" applied to the ask) but he also didn't follow through. 14 years is a LONG time -- be very careful about throwing that away is what I'm saying.

I think she told me because she is having so much chaos in her own relationship with her partner that she felt I needed to know but I feel like she had an agenda behind it if I was so important why did she wait years to tell me right?

Maybe , I really think it's because her partner got caught running around on her ges been doing it for years she puts up with it... she is just miserable.. I think at the time she wanted me to get revenge on my boyfriend an become sneaky like she has been with her partner!

I think its time to review his past and see if there's potential for it to have happened before. Clearly he can lie, clearly he can keep a secret. If it's not worth it, move on. If you think he is redeemable, then it's better that you both talk it out, clear the air, and then bury the hatchet. Keeping these incidents fresh in you mind isn't good for either one, and it'll keep the healing process from progressing.
