The MeToo movement was mostly started because of the sexual harassment in the workplace. Actresses that were in the public eye; they used that platform to get the message out for ALL working women.


The average Joe took notice and since then, nearly all men are afraid to approach women in general for dating.


The average man and woman have been meeting up in bars and nightclubs for generations. Never once was there ever a movement in regards to guys and gals showing sexual attraction for one another.


It a bar or nightclub, a woman can verbally and if needed physically put men in their place and not have to worry with losing a paycheck.


When a woman is working to support a family the last thing she wants is to put up with workplace harassment and some fear losing that income if they stand up to the harassers.


This MeToo movement has been a double edged sword for women.


A lot of men fear approaching women now thinking it isn’t proper. This leads to some men not trying at all and women going WTF.


The MeToo movement has really screwed with men’s confidence levels in the dating world because they are trying to figure out the best way to approach so as not to be seen as a Harvey Weinstein.

I honestly don't think this is just men. The internet has opened the door up for droves of bitter, sometimes understandably hurt, sad, and angry people of both genders to vent online and on social media platforms about how everyone is horrible. It also might be about perception.
