In India, laws are made to only protect women from sexual harassment or rape. There are no legislations or statutes to protect men from the ruthless act of sexual harassment or rape. Under Indian law, there is only Section 377 of The Indian Penal Code, 1860 which talks about 'sodomy'. All the other sections are meant for women. The key thing to be noted is that for committing sexual violence, the perpetrator and the victim can be of any gender, unlike what is mentioned in Section 354A to 354D and Section 375 of The Indian Penal Code, which states that only a man can be the perpetrator.

In India, Article 14 of our constitution guarantees 'Right to Equality'. This article, however, is frequently violated because our legislation does not take in account the issues of sexual violence against men or the fact that the laws which govern the punishments related to rape entirely exclude men. Contrarily, children of all genders are covered under the 'Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

The Indian Judiciary and society, talk about equal rights for men and women. These dismissals to make laws for sexual harassment or rape as gender neutral, dismally, showcase the violation of Right to Equality The Indian Judicial system works hard to protect women from sexual violence, and while that is a great feat, it is discriminatory to neglect the plight of men who are subjected to sexual violence.

Seriously... and i feel somewhere its the fault of us men as well... we don't stand foe ourselves... like i just read a news of man got raped by an auto driver and people were liyerally making fun... both gys and girls... such a shame...
Also i've seen some cases of women doing voilence with their husbands and still there is no law for men to be saved...
I know some would argue that its 90% of times with women and only 10% of men face such issues... but i guess those who brag about equality should take a step for the equal laws for the safety of men too... even if it is the 10%

I'm sure it happens all the time. The problem is feminists in India have successfully changed rape laws there so that it is impossible for women to be charged with it. I also believe rape is defined under Indian law as premarital sex so I think the amount of rape cases are heavily exaggerated in the eyes of Americans.

Ma'am there are many cases where women are doing voilence ir mental harassment of their husbands or his family members in India... i personally know a few of them... but bcz all the laws are in favor of women these guys are just helpless...
And even if the rape cases are rare... they should at least have the law for them too

In order to make something a law, it has to be an actual problem. People need to seriously get lives. The amount of crap that people turn into problems on social media is the reason why so many people in our generation have mental illnesses
