Trending & News Not in the UNITED STATES šŗšø, men would go to jail.
There is an interesting video on this subject by 'GirlWritesWhat?' which explains the origins of this sort of thing and how / why this is a necessary 'right' in cultures where men are held legally responsible for their wives, after all how can you ask someone to be accountable for someone and then also tell them that they are not allowed to moderate their behaviour.
I don't recall and I am not sure i ever knew specifically which cultures she is referencing in her talk but it is certainly very interesting as we have a tendancy these days to look at such a thing as an example of the oppression of women when if anything the reverse is true.
Muslim countries obviously, and muslim men could even kill her for not wearing a hijab.
@berethor may I use your link for my update to the question?
@Jennz6 sure why not, people should know how oppressed muslim women are.
www.thereligionofpeace.com/pages/quran/veils.aspx
Thank you
@Beatrix7 not a good place for women to visit
@berethor I never went to school so Iām doing pretty good for being uneducated
I would never want to live in a country where you have to have a dress code to go out in public... and it is the Hadith that is garbage with these stupid bullshit rules not the Quran... but I have to say my children are muslims so if anyone ever says shit about them I will punch you the fuck out...
@anemone978 I totally understand and agree with you,
No one should say anything about the children, but, if someone says shit about your "God", your Allah, your book gives you the right and duty to slay them because of blasphemy. That's fucked up.
@loveslongnails If you hate Muslims in general you hate the kids as well... I'm not Muslim just my kids are, id be a bad Muslim if I was one lol... But the Quran does not say that... The fucked up shit all comes from the Hadith.. Which was written after the prophet was dead and after the Quran was written, Its all just bullshit... Mind you many Muslims believe in the Hadith as well... In the Quran it says if you kill a man it is like you killed all of humanity... So don't be spreading false bullshit when you haven't even read the book yourself LOL
I'm not a Quran scholar, and neither are you> I've read some of it, but I'm not going to debate passage and verse with you. There are pages of refence materials devoted to this subject, easily found on the internet. It appears at a cursory glance that scholars say there's nothing in the "authentic teachings of Mohammed that shows that". If you want to maintain that there's no mention of such things in the actual Quran, I'd have to research it, not just take your word for it. Perhaps it is just the militant factions that preach this, but if many Muslims are believe the Hadith as well, as you say, obviously you can see where the problem arises.
I don't hate Muslims - I loathe RADICALS from any religious group.
@loveslongnails Yes the Hadith does cause many problems... I don't know why so many believe in it... The Quran even says it is one book complete and true.. so where does the hadith fit in... it doesn't, yet even my ex's family believe you need the hadith...
Well I hope you don't... but be careful of what you spread if you don't know is all I am saying... because there are many people who do hate Muslims..
I don't particularly care for their "prophet", let me put it that way. I don't "hate Muslims", like I said, I loathe religious zealots and radicals.
I thought you could in some American states, particularly the Republican ones that promote traditional family roles.
@purplepoppy are you saying that Republicans punish their women or wives? lol
Yes I learnt that from GAG
Hope that's a joke and don't really believe that shi+
Thanks for your reply
@NewsReader not a joke
I was replying to purplepoppy's thought or belief that this was allowed in Republican states. She can't be serious, right?
Which "family values" would THAT be that Republicans promote, and in which states? You don't know enough about what really happens in the USA to chime in on this one, Poppy.
@purplepoppy yes women are beaten by men in the USA too

Any country that follows Sharia law.
sadly they did the customized āsharia lawā that only benefit patriach society not the real sharia law
@xoxosilentgirl is it a law or a religion?
I understand Sharia to be a legal code imposed by fundamentalist Muslims.
sharia law is supposed to follow what the religion said and its way of life, but apparently nowadays itās just an excuse for imbecile men to control women
@olderandwiser are the women really protesting it now?
Most women in fundamentalist Muslim countries understand that protesting might mean they are drug out to the town square and beheaded.
@olderandwiser ouch
It puts first world problems in perspective!
@olderandwiser yes you are correct
I mean, sure, men donāt have the legal right to punish their wives in the US. However, there is definitely some gray area there. Traditions are still taught here, families raise their daughters to be traditional, and society pushes those traditions onto all of us. Sexist traditions to be specific, that says men are supposed to be head of the household and wives submit. Thatās just one example but it seems these sexist ideals are taught to avoid quote on quote āproblem womenā, women speaking up, and wanting mutual respect or men acting out as they always do when they donāt get their way.
But yeah, not legal per say
But I do believe countries with majority religious faiths, patriarchal religion (christianity, Islam, etc) really leaves room for men to control their wives as if sheās property. There are also conservatives as they are traditional and traditions never cared about progression or the rights of women so. . Thereās also some South Asians counties. Even countries in African (because of colonization and traditions). Canada as well. Etc.
Again, though, even though in some countries it isnāt legal, the gray area is there for a reason. And that reason is, women are not respected. We are considered second class citizens, there for men to enjoy and use for birthing and them to O
Sucks being a woman anywhere but definitely outside the US even though being in the US still sucks
Well, I tried to punish my wife for a lousy blow job, by putting cloths pins on her nipples and she threw me down the stairs from the second floor.
Does she do it better now?
Iām not really sure, I hope so
Punish how? Like sex games? If its that, then its just s&m type stuff. That's legal. But punish like wife beating, then that is illegal and should be everywhere. But in some countries its not.
Not a sex game, @berethor just replied with a link about Muslin countries women must hijab by law or they can be arrested.
Hijab is symbol of women oppression, yet SJW fools from the west was wearing it.

@Berethor thanks for your help
I'm from Croatia and they don't have that kind of rights here 😂
I was told that men have the legal right in India.
No, they don't have such rights here. It's an extreme offence with high penalty and punishment. Any kind of physical abuse is strictly prohibited, for both men and women. However, yes in some households it's done illegally but the wife can complain or file a case against her husband for mental and physical abuse both. Punishment is stronger for physical abuse though. And I'm from India.
Muslim countries?
Iām happy for you
I´d say India besides all the muslim countries or some African where society is still traditional patriarchal. But besides that I don´t think anywhere else.
Dont speak on something you don't know, "Muslim countries obviously" wheres your proof? no country has "legal rights" to kill anyone
But thatās why I am asking
and yet you said "Muslim countries obviously" gtfo
āgtfoā? What does it mean?
Honor killings
@Justneedtokno Honor killings are illegal too lol
@Anemone978 well
Weak ass countries with weak ass men.
I'd agree that most Islamic fundamentalist state allow this. Because they're savages
Iām staying away from there
Please do
Muslim countries and countries that end in "stan". Inspirational examples of human behavior, all.
🤔 good question @jennz6 other than the middle east I have no clue
Iām sad to tell you this but my uncleās wife was pregnant and she wanted an abortion. He said they were going on vacation but she ended up in the Middle East so she was forced to go through with the pregnancy. They eventually came back.
Mostly in the middle East. But. Ain't bias towards Arabs.
Not in my country unless you're a Muslim woman.
None should have those rights, but I'm sure there is a few
I don't agree with your update.
In Muslim countries they would go to jail if they punish their wives.
well how big of a punishment we talking? I think some countries in Africa as well. Donāt quote me.
I also need this list as Iām making vacation plans. Thinking Saudi biatch slap tour.
We do. My wife loves to be spanked.
Do you spank her?
Absolutely whether she likes it or not.
Way too many to count them all here...
Probably Serbia:)
