Have you encountered any challenges or discrimination based on your gender?

I’m a hetero white male. I’m about as expendable as they come. Especially nowadays
However this forces many guys like me to work harder and take more responsibility. But some of us are hitting breaking points with depression and stress from this bs.
Once. School director wanted I should wear a school flag in a gymnastic costume at school display in my city, even though I wasn't even member of gymnastic team. As I told it to my mother, she turned in a blood thirsty pitbull and visited personally the school director next day. I felt pity for him. XD
I faced surely some small challenges but never discrimination.
Because I am Hispanic, I look younger than what my age says, girls get and still get jealous of me bc they say I am very beautiful and I got dark skin naturally and I am happy wherever I am. Its tough at times being a girl and I have friends but I am careful who is my friends bc my so call friend was the one that cheated with my ex husband, so ya. 🙃
I have noticed pretty much everywhere I go since i graduated it seems like all the women are hidden from view and I have to deal almost entirely with other men. It makes the world less pleasant, to be honest.

Yeah, they won't let me in women's locker rooms or bathrooms.
I'm not allowed to wear women's clothes but they're allowed to wear men's clothes.
I'm made fun of if I ride a girl's bike! Does it make sense to you that the one with the balls gets the one with the bar?
I always liked the cute pink tassels on the handle bars, but like you said, we can't do it or we get called a "bitch" or a "homosexual"
I used to play chess with strangers online using a live chat and digital chess feature and one guy tried to make me angry by criticizing female intelligence, maybe cause he had self esteem issues. I also remember when a guy would tell disgusting fart jokes and than tell me they were embarrassed to be seen with me in public because I spilled my food during a meal. My friend says he’s allowed to be disgusting because he’s a man but I’m not allowed to be disgusting because I’m a woman.
Here in Finland, Hooters restaurant is not allowed to open up here because the idea of pretty big breasted girls serving food, is ahainst the laws of equal rights. It would take men's equality away in applying for a male waitress.
I want Hooters, In my country.
I dont believe if it came here, that men would be marching and protesting infront of the parlament building for our rights to work in hooters.
It seems to me that the logical choice would be to open another restaurant with beefy hunks in tight shorts who wear t-shirts with roosters on them- or does that not work in Finnish?
Of course!! My gender, my race, my height, my weight… etc…
I don’t pay any attention to it because my time is to spend on something more important.
there will always people trying to put you down for any reason…
Many years ago, I wanted to get temporary disability because my arm was messed up to the point where it was unusable, and the social worker literally told me "unless you have a vagina there is no help for you here"
So many times, I am a researcher. Currently a lot of female university professors don't wanna take male students. They give out scholarships, research positions to girls only. Universities are creating girls only courses, so are scholarships. Even male professors discriminate against male students in return of favours. One of my friend did work for a professor and then he handed over the credit to a girl.
A good friend of mine was falsely accused of rape by an ex he hasn't seen in five years as her family moved away and that was why she left him.
Despite the courts finding no evidence that supported the claim, he was kicked out of his university anyway and eventually joined the military. I haven't seen him since then but his social media suggests that he never returned home.
This is why I am such a big advocate for due process in the court of public opinion.
It’s hard for males to get babysitting jobs not just because we are seen as less competent but because we are seen as more likely to molest children
even though female babysitters are the majority of physical assaulters
I got a dusty answer when I tried to get a job in a women's clothes shop. But that was a long time ago and I'm no longer interested in that line of work.
Yup. As a white man I’m the liberals target.
Yes! In most public restrooms they make us stand up to pee! Totally unfair
A false accusation a girl against me ruined HS for me. But it stopped being a problem after I graduated.
I but I have experienced a lot of condescension because of my autism
Probably. Im kinda indifferent i just go with it
Yes. I got turned away at the Social Services office, because I wasn't a woman.
I also got turned away from the free health clinic because I wasn't an immigrant. But I know that isn't related to this question.
Nothing specific comes to mind.
No, not that I remember
Not since high school.
Not that I have noticed.
Thankfully, no.
