No to the hell naw naw.

Do you think it's right to bring children to pride parades?Do you think it's right to bring children to pride parades?Do you think it's right to bring children to pride parades?

It's blatantly obvious what this agenda has turned into. They already tried to slap a P on their little alphabet (for P3do) and when that worked they tried to destigmatize by trying to a M on there for MAPs (Minor Attracted Persons)... they're not giving up on this agenda.

Reminds me of the women's march, when it got hi-jacked by the Pro-Islamic stuff. All those pink hat ladies were just standing there like deers looking at headlights... lolz, they were even putting that hijab on for it. Mainstream media steers clear and because it's "their team" they just stay silent about it.

Actually I’m friends with lots of people in the LGBTQ community and everyone who I’ve talked to in that community (whether we’re friends or not) have all agreed that saying Pedos are a part of the LGBTQ community is like trying to say that bread is a fruit. It’s not and pedos aren’t a part of the lgbtq community and will never be accepted into it. What pedos do is disgusting and absolutely unacceptable no matter what. Pedos who say that they’re a part of that community are just trying to convince not only themselves but also everybody else that it’s ok, when people who are actually in that community know that pedos never have been and never will be accepted because what pedos do is wrong and disgusting.

@thatshydork I'm in the lane of thinking it should've just stayed LGB... maybe add the S so we have all the sexualities... but adding these sexual lifestyles has added all the weird stuff... like furries, BDSM, and other "fetishes"

Just know I do respect your position... I support "Gays against pedos" over there on the twatter, have friends in that group as well. I just don't like the direction it's being steered into since it's become part of identity politics.

@EmyyWolf they’re not and you’d know that if you ever even took the time to put aside your prejudices and actually talk to them, but if you want to be that closed minded to the point where it’s harming innocent people and miss out on some of the most kind hearted, sincere, loyal people I’ve ever met, that’s on you. Innocent people are being harmed because of you and your prejudices. You know who took down the shooter at the club q shooting in Colorado? A team of trans women, drag queens, and a father. That’s who. But if you want to continue to spew such hateful, disgusting lies about innocent people, that’s on you. People who get beat up just because they love people of the same gender, that’s on you and your prejudices. People getting beat up for nothing except for being trans, that’s on you and your prejudices. All the hate that innocent people in the LGBTQ community get, that’s on you and your prejudices. Pedophiles have never and will never be in the LGBTQ community, but if you want to judge someone and continue to spread hate based off of the lies that some messed up people spread, that’s on you. I mean, imagine if someone judged you based on some lies that someone else spread about people who claim to belong to your community when they don’t. For once, put yourself in the shoes of the innocent people you’re harming by spreading this hate and these lies that ‘they’re all pedos’. They’re not and to see people being so hateful to them when they’ve done nothing wrong makes my heart hurt. It’s people like you and your prejudices that truly hold the world back from the equality and acceptance that we all could experience. However, I know that my words likely won’t affect you in anyway, but guess what? That’s on you and your hateful mind.

The LGBTQ does NOT accept the pedos as a part of their community and the people of the LGBTQ community ARE NOT PEDOS, but you’re never going to understand that and that’s on you.

@EmyyWolf Because of your prejudices, a whole community of innocent, undeserving people continue to face the hardships that they have to in order to be loved and accepted just for being who they are. Shame on you and your prejudices and shame on all those who spread these lies.

The LGBTQ community does not include pedos and they’re not pedos. Shame on you and your prejudices.

As long as the parade does not have things that are overtly sexual in nature it should not be an issue. It should be a decision made by the children's parents though. If they are exposed to sexual aspects then it should be no different than any other child abuse law related to sexual deviance. If the parades want to contain sexually overt things they should make sure that anyone under 18 is strictly forbidden from attending in the first place or they should be held liable. We have a problem where we think anything related to those in LGBTQ community is all about sex. Relationships are relationships, and equality that most pride events strive to achieve are not about sex. There are places trying to breed hate and making it about children and sex, which is disgusting that they use that as a front to base an attack on a community of people that may have different beliefs or love interests than us straight people. Not ever drag queen is sexual. Not every parade is sexual. Not every pride event is sexual. When it is sexual in nature, children should not be present. When it's not, why do we care other than to breed hate? The LGBTQ exists and to say that children shouldn't be present at events that are geared towards equality only reminds us of the struggles we have had in this country for women's rights, for minority rights (especially for black and brown members of our communities), and others where hate and fear pushed those rights back as long as possible. And again, if events are geared to being sexual, parents who take them should be held responsible but event planners should make sure they are not in attendance and be held responsible as well.

I think this all depends not only on the person or family dynamic but also whether or not the parade itself is “kid friendly”. I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community and wouldn’t want to bring a child to one of the parades where people are practically running around naked. But if it’s a parade just celebrating being part of the community and not trying to go out of the way to demonstrate taboo things (a bunch of people on bicycles nude etc) I see no issue with that. I always equate it to this…if a bunch of straight people had a parade and there was a float with practically nude women on it it would be shut down immediately.

@msmissydc oh I agree, I probably worded it wrong I just mean that I think there is a difference between child friendly and not. That’s why I think it depends upon the dynamic the child’s parents etc have and what they want to subject their child to. I guess I just mean that it is subjective

Yes. First of all, it’s none of other peoples business so long as the children aren’t being harmed (which they’re not, despite some might say/think). Second, it teaches children that not everybody is going to be like them. Some people are going to be attracted to the same gender or all genders. Some people don’t identify with the parts they were born with. Some people don’t know what they identify as. Some people are bisexual. Children need to learn that not everybody is going to be like them and that’s ok.

All genders? There are only two. As for those who "don't identify with the parts they were born with", those people need psychiatric help, not surgery, and why the hell do young children need to be made aware of what other people "prefer" anyway?

      Reply
    • thatshydork

@Siri137 they don’t need psychiatric help and there’s more than two genders. You’re getting gender and sex mixed up. Gender is the socially constructed roles and sex is the private parts that you’re born with. That’s something I learned in my sociology class from my professor.

Children need to be aware of people who are different so that they don’t grow up to be ignorant and some might become depressed if they don’t know that this community is out there and that there are people who understand what they’re going through. Also, being exposed to different types of people is something that’s going to happen all through out life. There’s 7 billion people in the world and not everyone is exactly the same. There’s nothing wrong with broadening your child’s horizons. In fact, I’d say that it’s vital to expose children to people who are different than them in a multitude of different ways. I grew up in a white-washed bubble where almost everyone was homophobic and racist and it made those of us who are different extremely depressed and almost took the lives of a few of my friends. It’s important for kids to know that, for some of them, there’s people out there who know and understand what they’re going through because they’ve been through it themselves. It makes the whole thing less lonely and depressing.

I don't see why children should be encouraged to think about LGBT at all. Almost 97.5% of people "identify" as heterosexual. Kids should assume that heterosexuality is normal. Why should they celebrate LGBT when they have no idea about sexuality, let alone gender bullshit? LGBT shouldn't be thought of as attractive, alluring or desirable. That's some Pied Piper shit.

I was reading an article about rainbows recently. They used to represent good luck, hope, optimism, happiness, wellness, positive energy, a promise of good things to come, a bridge between Earth and sky.
When children made crayon drawings of their home and family, they would often put a colorful rainbow in the sky.
Children think rainbows are beautiful and magical, but now they are being taught that they represent LGBT. The universal symbol has been hijacked.

no, it's brain washing and training. but what are they training them?

You need to expand upon the "+"... what does it include exactly as "ok"

    Bestiality?

Pedophelia? - we are seeing this pop up now.

The sky is the limit right? We have to be clear about what we are saying. These children will go around repeating "Gay pride" but won't know what it means nor have thought about it, it's just conditioned.

That's different than rejecting LGBTQ people. But you have to think about what you are teaching, especially when they have limited concept...

@Paul09 It's up to the parents and that's why parents are needed. I'd have no problem if my teen wanted to go to a pride parade, but they are going to get an education from parents first. They already ran into this at school and had to be educated. Kids can get sucked down the rabbit hole fast and not know whta they are getting into. At a young age, I wouldn't do it.
tell me what that + means? pedophelia... is ok, pride in pedophelia. nope.
I'm ok with people being who they are and working towards better, and wanted to be accepted. But I don't see pride in being confused about whom you are, or screwed up mating behavior.
Rename it LGBTQ+ care and concern month... much better.

If done properly, you educate them about maybe other students maybe part of it. To be more accepting. I can see if they are teaching them the wrong way about it. But you can't generalize it.

@Paul09 the parade I saw had no merit for children. I can understand educating kids about other people, appropriate for their age, so they accept other people. Seems these things are going, sometimes, too far.
I can't judge all parades though.

I think it's OK, as long as no one tries to corrupt the child and make them believe that they should be gay or bi or whatever. They should choose on their own!

But other than that, I think it teaches good values to love people for who they are. Everyone is different and unique in their own way, and I would want a child to learn that early on, instead of becoming a racist who hates everyone. It's definitely a better learning experience than politics, who try to corrupt everyone with their bullshit beliefs!

Except people for who they are! That would be what I would try to teach the child.

I’m not gunna stop people, but no, I do not think it’s right. Children should not be in sexual spaces and a celebration of homosexuality, or any sexuality for that matter is no place for a child.

I also would not bring a child to a strip or fetish club, and in my city, pride looks a lot like one of those places. There are sex acts performed openly on the street

bringing a kid to a nude beach is fine because the nude body is not sexualized but when you add leather straps n shit I’m out

yes but they let all this brainwash stuff influence them into homosexuality, they were born this way, their minds are blank when they are newborns, it means ehat they have seen or witnessed mixed with curiosity eventually led them to this stuff, just them being open to the idea of it, the people that are closed or lack the curiosity stayed single, it falls more into a mental illness than normality

No, that's absolutely foul and immoral. Why don't people keep their private affairs private anymore? Why do they feel the need to tell the whole goddamn world about all the stupid and disgusting things they get up to in their homes? What is there to actually be "proud" of here?

Sexualizing children is horrible. Let them play with their toys and drink their apple juice. They are kids. They haven't gone through puberty yet so sex is off the table. The only people that want to sexualize children are child molesters. Are you a child molester?

i think we should rename it and give it a more fitting name. how about pedophile parade? or groomer parade?

like it just boggles my mind how people got so brain damaged that they think, bringing a child to a parade about sex is even remotely appropriate.

Yes, people are surrounded by heterosexuality unavoidable all time. Showing them the other side is normal as well should be fine. Also its a great atmosphere there like a carnival which I guess they like as well, just having fun.

Because we dont need hetero parades. heterosexuality is literally everywhere. Note that literal sex is not the only form to show it. Hetero and lgbtq+ also have a romantic side, which is often the more open side, or just kisses etc. . that's why I think heterosexuality is everywhere, for example in children's movies all the time and sometimes even the main plot.

not every pride parade is overly sexual and not every drag queen is either or even perverted. some are and i do not think kids should see that, but its the parent's job to look out for that stuff. make sure their kids don't get exposed and desensitized to sexual things.

i'm not lgbtq+ so i don't see why i would need to bring my child there -shrug- to each their own. i will support from far away. plus, with things being how they are, i just wouldn't feel safe. a lot of people don't support gay rights so i don't want to be in harms way of a shooting if it were to happen and i sure wouldn't want my child to be in harms way either.

Exposing children to sexually explicit material and / or performances is wrong, period, end of discussion. The sexual orientation of those depicted in the performance and / or material DOES NOT MATTER. Children are not meant to see things like that, because they are not mature enough to understand what is being presented.

Yes, pride isn’t sexual, the only reason you’d think otherwise is if you can’t fathom gay relationships outside of gay sex

Nope: I don’t even think it’s right to bring adults to them.

I don't think so. They need to be in an age when they can clearly understand what's going on.

@EmyyWolf Did you pull that from a porn site? That isn’t pride and if that’s the pride happening near you then call the police it’s literally illegal💀Which is why I know it isn’t pride.

Children should never be exposed to anything sexual that they can't understand. It is child abuse. Start saving for the psychiatrist.

Yes. They can be A for ally, if they see themselves as none of the others.
