Only under my supervision and in areas where the outfits are rather tame. Until they are like 16 or 18. Then they are free to do as they please. It is amazing to see so many people come together to celebrate in unity. If I ever get a child I want them to feel such solidarity at least once in their childhood. Pride is one of the easiest and most reliable ways to get them to experience that. Attending a serious game of the national football team is quite a bit harder to achieve. And I doubt I will regularly go to church or something similar as both my partner and I are not religious people. (Went to a church that had plenty of younger members and a more enthusiastic community than the dozen 80 y/o people you usually see here. It was quite intriguing to see how passionate the entire community was. People were crying tears of happiness when someone joined the baptism even though they didn't know that person.)
In the end it comes down to whether they want to attend pride or not. But since the question says 'allow' I am assuming they do.
I went to a pride parade in the UK with my parents when we were kids and it was extremely fun. People were friendly and fun, we met other kids who were also there with their parents. We saw drag queens dressed in the most amazing attires. We even wore all sorts of glitters and stickers on our faces which we had decorated ourselves so we looked fun-crazy (I wore a pink tutu and my brothers wore the pride flag tied around their necks like capes).
I just remember it being full of love and joy, everyone was having a good time with no hate or prejudice.
So yes, I would also long as their being supervised by me and my so which is the rules for children being in pride parades. It's nice to show and teach our kids about love and accepting others without judgement especially through celebrations like pride parades.
Yes, because why not? What would be dangerous there? Pride is one of the safest and most fun events in most cities. People who participate are generally there to celebrate life and have fun. It's the angry, right-wing, conservative hate-filled anti-everything progress people who show up to cause disturbances that you need to watch out for. And cops. Stay far away from any and all law enforcement. They may pretend to be supportive of the LGBT+ community, but if you know your history (past and present) you know that's not true for 99% of those working in Law Enforcement.
Pride should be experienced by the newer generations. Hopefully enough of them will attend and see more sides and depth to the world around them, they'll in turn come to feel for and associate with varying communities and move away from previous generation's distrust of anything new.
Fuck no, that's if they're a child or kid. There's zero point bringing up complex topics like that with your kid and making it apart of their world, since they should still be kids. If they're a teenager, then I don't give a shit. At that age you've just started the process of figuring out who you are and go through different phases.

i realize i hate gender pronoun because it's a mock to God. but Gender preference is a reality nd these people who are gay and lesbians and bisexuals etc. are God's creatures just like everyone. Hatinh these people is against the second commandment love your neighbor as yourself. if my child is a homosexual then i will let him/her join if s/he wants to. my instruction would only be to really establish a strong relationship with Lotd Jesus that's all. i actually wanna encourage these pips to go to church and don't mind the holier than thou pips
Hmm, that's very sensible
Nor would I allow them to go to school if the teachers were forcing that shit on them!! If my kids turn out gay or trans on their own, that's fine but, I DON'T need psycho teachers filling their heads with that shit before they even know what sex is!!
I'm childfree but here's some words to consider. In such cases:
Either you can let it go and not make a fuss about it and keep the relationship transparent and healthy.
Or disallow it but the kid will find ways to be there participating and will keep more secrets from you. In extreme cases you risk being cut off in the future.
Ask me how I know but you'll get the idea.
Yeah for sure.
I'll be in it too.
Pride is a protest, it's important to teach kids how to stand up for their rights and the rights of those still persecuted.
Sure that sounds like a good thing and all but not by themselves. With that parade, poison and predators can easily blend in and i've lost my kid. Soo sure, we can go. :D
No, let kids be kids. Adult topics aren't suitable for kids. And let's be honest, it's not the parents "letting" kids do it, it's them having kids do it.
No. And I Find it Atrocious That Parents are Allowing Them to Go to a Drag Show. xxoo
If I’d a child, why the Hell not? They can and should support gay, trans, queer, asexual, polyamory, intersex, &c rights, because they are human rights as well.
Not in this lifetime. Weirdos like trannies/queer need to stay away from kids.
@ImalwaysrightOK I was born queer, matey! People are strange when You’re a stranger. Love and befriend strangers. The world must come together, right now! Celebrate differences. Many teens went to transgender. Haters like Yourself need to stay away from kids, and most other people.
@HippieVeganJewslim no, we need to keep freaks like trannies away from kids.
@ImalwaysrightOK trans did not yet do anything, but took the trans surgery. The false notion that they’re paedophiles or whatever needs to bloody stop. They have a right to coexist with kids just as other people do. Only fools assume that they’re always right.
When I have children I will absolutely not let them join a pride parade. Besides they’re children! Why would you ever want to talk about sexuality to children?
Of course, I would. I don't want my child growing up into a bigot.
Nope. They can decide to go when they're adults if they want.
Anyone saying yes, needs their hard drive and phone investigated and their child taken away for endangerment.
@Sasahara There's a lot less fuss about child beauty pagents, Dance Moms, etc. from the right as a whole, don't you think? How many laws are being proposed to stop them? None. Hell, the right's fine with men dressed in drag, as long as they're Republicans.
These moral panics, this one just like the last one and whatever the next one will be, are just to keep the base angry and voting. They're ignoring that the base is also increasingly violent. Target didn't stop selling pride products because noone was buying them, they stopped because they were getting threats of violence against their workers.
@goaded If you were addressing the Right as a whole, you should have said so right away, as is your first replie looks like you are just asking LogicBomber because of his answer. Therfor, it sems like you are thinking that people should hold the same opinions about beauty pagants as Pride parades.
So I asked you if you feel the same way about people who were pro lgbt too. What the Right as a whole might think or why Target stopped selling some Pride products, (by the way, according to this it seems like they moved the stuff to the back of the store www.nytimes.com/.../...tq-companies-backlash.html)
had next to nothing to do with my replie.
Personaly I say ban child beauty pagents too.
Kids need to be kids. Take them to a movie or out to the theme park. Why expose them to things they have no business in.
That would depend, I have no interest in going to a pride parade but if my kids wanted to go with my wife or one of my other family members sure as long as it’s a regular one and not some grown men in tights twerking
My kids are all adults. If they want to I don't have a problem with it. If they were in grade school, Hell no.
Absolutely not. If anyone did half the things I’m seeing videos of to kids outside of a pride parade they would be arrested.
Until they got old enough to completely understand what the pride parade was all about and then only if they wish to with a reasonable explanation on why so I know they do understand.
no, mainly because i don't want them to get shot if it were to happen. the world sucks these days.
No, these people act like they are in a gentleman club out in public. Absolutely not.
Have you seen what goes on at these parades? You might as well send them to a NAMBLA convention.
No, it doesn't look like a child-friendly event. Anyway the poor kid would be bored shitless.
Do you allow your children to watch hetero sexy scenes on cable?
Only if they bring me back some fudge. I'm told the gays pack the best fudge.
Why on Earth not?
don't forget they're coming for your kids
Not a chance in hell.
Hell to the No!
Not in a million years.
No not happening

Whoa! The question was your child. My mother still calls me her child and I'm 24. And I don't have a child. The prolifers call me a murder 🤣
