As long as they participated in finding their alternate sex clothes. I see loads of younger men wearing women's clothing these days, just a women started to do in the 1920s with men's slacks and nowadays with all kinds of men's clothing.
I don't see the harm in it. It's just a fashion shift for most. One day men will wear as many fashion options as women do.
And, it's not crossdressing if I wear board shorts and men's shirts, is it? And I've been doing this since I was a teen-ager and I'm nearly 70.
Wearing the clothing of the opposite sex simply means that's what you're comfortable wearing and on occasion I wear dresses too. Rarely. If your son wants to wear utilikilts and women's clothing, well that's what he must like. Just as I like the "men's" clothing I wear.
Doesn't have anything to do with my sexual orientation or my wanting to BE a man. Have no desire to change my sex and have always been and still am attracted to men.
Let your kids experiment, test boundaries, and be who they are. They'll find their way eventually.
Only 4 percent of people in the world are transgender. About 20 percent gay or bisexual.
So it's unlikely your child has anything serious to discuss with you. But, you can always ask.
That is a complicated thing to say, because one opinion can change and second I believe circumstance means different things.
Okay so, let’s say they want to be their favorite character for Halloween and their female friend will dress as the male character and he’ll dress up as the female character. Totally fine in my book, since it will make him happy for Halloween. You dress up for it so, he chose to dress up the way he wanted. As long as he has fun, that is all that matters.
Now let’s say he wanted to cross dress for school because he felt more comfortable being ‘feminine’. I’m conflicted in that aspect, though if he truly felt more comfortable in the clothes then it would be up to him UNLESS it was against the ‘dress code’ in which I would suggest he waits until 18 years old to do that everyday though try to be feminine in the male style as a compromise.
It really depends and things will change, so I don't know. I guess I’ll figure it out once I’m a parent and I work it out with my kid also wife.
When I was a little girl, I got fed up of my parents dressing me up in frocks, skirts and all the girly clothes. I wanted to wear jeans and other stuff like my brothers. At some point, I started wearing my Papa's and brothers t shirts and shirts (even though they were too big) sometimes the moment they came home from shopping just because I wanted to and liked it. I grew out of it eventually.. went back to wearing girly clothes.
So, yes, I would (even though I prefer them to wear clothes made for their gender) but it also depends on my partner. I highly doubt he would be okay with it.
Allow? I would probably make fun of them until they stopped or until I came to the realization they weren't going to stop.
I know it ISN'T EXACTLY along the same lines. But when I was a teenager I wanted to get my ear pierced. And my father dealt with it in the same way. When it didn't deter me, he told me if I got it done he'd rip it out of my ear. That stopped me.😂 As an adult I can look back now and know my dad wouldn't have done that. But good father's have a way of putting the fear of God in you to keep you from doing something you'll later regret.😂
If I'm gonna allow the girls to do it, as the rest of our society does why would I stop the boys from doing it?
No, it's ok if they wear unisex clothes, but not something that was meant for the opposite gender.
Absolutely. As long as they're safe and it makes them happy, why not?
It's their life, as a parent I would be very hands off. So yeah I don't care.
Whatevs.
Their choice
