No wishing to be offensive but Macron is a complete suck. I can see political cartons flash before my very eyes.
I think undoubtedly it will anger some elements. Lithuania won't be impressed I'm pretty sure and I'd guess central and eastern Europe will at the least think France is unreliable.
You know I like Zeihan. Earlier before this he said (paraphrasing) "France has an exquisite talent for creating diplomatic difficulties... but they are friends, almost family". I heard an US ex gov't figure - also earlier - remark "We thought we had got over AUKUS. I guess not".
I think the most tolerant view in the US would be that France is still paying out for AUKUS but eventually France will feel honor is satisfied.
When, despite severe Australian disgruntlement being a tad below boiling point, the French sub deal was still on, I was quite surprised at the strength of Macron's support of Australia - and Lithuania too - on Chinese boycotts. It was short term expedient. But that has muted of course.
France should pursue it's abiding interests as every country does but it does appear to find short term expediencies distracting. When the sub deal was first cut, our commentariat was raising French reliability as an issue. With Russia military sales now plummeting, France should be poised to lift it mil sales. The US has big solutions with big price tags. If Country X saw it self as needing to have discouragement for China would they ink a deal with France? They'd have to think. Or if they needed discouragement for Russia? Another good hard think.
I think unreliability is more opposed to France's long term interests than short term anger and does more damage to French interests.
Macdonald has already begun to dump the dollar in favor of currency not as debased. I honestly don't blame him when Biden has printed over 80% of ever US dollar ever to have existed in just over two years. And you know I love my country, but it is because I love my country that I hate its current leadership.

Brics is a collection of weak backward countries

I don't know if any dialogue with BRICS matters

well rats like Macron know when to leave a sinking ship. france was historically very good at acknowledging the superior forces at the time and quickly submitting xD so that's what they're doing now.
the western worlds reign of supremacy is soon gonna end. i'm not saying that cause i'd like that to happen... i'm located in the western world and it will suck. but i figure it's about to go down.
how many and which nations were those? don't tell me to make your argument for you. make it yourself.
All the countries of Europe (which at the time had the most advanced and powerful armies), part of North America, Africa, China, and without conquering their territories, Russia, which we defeated several times and which we often forced to give up their ambitions for the Ottoman Empire, Poland, etc., were also conquered.
I suspect the EU leaders wouldn’t like that.
Macron is a rat as far as I’m concerned, like so many other western leaders.
I’m not really sure
viva le?
