I want to buy a phone that sells for 1099 dollars for 1099 dollars, I want to live on equal terms with someone from the US, but the stupid Erdoğan voters in the geography I live in are ruining my life, so I think geography is destiny...

Jared Diamond, eat your heart out, eh?
If this is just the phone, without a SIM card, would it be possible for you to have someone in the US buy it for you, then ship it to you? I know that VCRs and DVD players can be region-locked, but does the same apply to phones?
Somewhat. For example, I was born in the U. S., and I think it is my destiny to live here. But a lot of that is mindset. Because many Americans do move to other places. I have a friend who moved to Germany, and two others who moved to South Korea. I could easily also move to another country, but I don't. Again, I think it is mindset.
Thanks for the MHO.

It's not destiny but certainly affects things.
And as for what you described, Erdogan might make things worse, but there's way more at play.
There's truth to the sentiment and observation, but this is way over simplified
There are tons of issues that can increase prices. Supply/demand, taxes, shipping, etc.
It does't have to be destiny, but sometimes and in some cases it is
I don't think about this
It does affect lots of things.
