Why is walking barefoot a taboo in Europe and N. america but not australia?

Why is it so frowned upon especially in US that many businesses even put out a rule "No shoes, no service" while it is common to see barefoot people in australia

My question is; are there SO MANY PEOPLE who tries to walk barefoot in US? Why did they even need that kind of rule at first 😅

In my country no one would walks barefoot in society so you can't find a single bussines putting rules against it. Like, its already something people dont do without needing any rules...

Oz is way more relaxed. However, only an idiot would go bare foot on some beaches there, especially below the high tide mark, as stone fish are the most venomous fish in the world. They look just like an innocent barnacled rock.
