Why are they having so much trouble stopping the fires in Canada?

Can't they just cut down all the trees around the fires before it gets their? Is it that fast or something? So many firefighters all over the world coming to help. Still not enough.

I think the scale of forests in Canada (and other places like California) is much larger than people imagine. Some of them a vast, and almost impossible to reach. Fires can spread quickly, too fast for them to be able to set up fire breaks. The gaps need to be wide as well - firestorm winds can blow burning fragments long distances.

There is a lot of work going on for rapid detection of fires (including from satellites). If a fire could be caught sooner, it would be easier to control

Presumably its because their government is so astonishingly evil that the people just dont believe anything it says anymore.

That and they are all too drunk to even piss in a straight line (though inexplicably as long as there is enough snow cover they generally seem to still be able to drive in a straight line).

I don't think it's that simple. Wild fires are hard to stop. There are ways to prevent them like control fires before anything happens but not sure if Canada does those or not

Maybe it's all the Tesla cars exploding. Those things tend to do that. A LOT.

Yes, but we are humans, we must find ways. Must be some kind of technology to help. At this rate it will never stop. The high winds do not help either. So many disasters happening world wide

We aren't there yet. Could we? Yes, but there's no money in it. Hell when Australia itself was on fire, surrounded by water, it still took a long while to put out.

Yes they do spread that fast, and even with fire breaks an established fire can jump miles of cleared land and even water
