Depends on how long ago, and how major it was. Apparently the answer should be one, if you plead guilty to two misdemeanors and lying about being a drug addict on your form to get a gun but never used the gun in a crime.

In how many of the 71 (I think, currently) felonies facing Trump should he get away without prison time, if he's taken to trial and convicted? How about if he simply pleads guilty? Maybe just a tag for a couple of decades, to discourage future criminal presidents.

Remember, if Trump had simply handed over the documents (or all the boxes for NARA to look through and return what was his, saving him time and effort), he wouldn't be in this fix.

Why did you not mention Hunter Biden by name? That's obviously who you were talking about.

It probably helps if you have lots of money, because that makes the prosecutors make a decision based upon whether there were victims who were harmed, and how many resources of the criminal justice system they're willing to expend chasing a victimless crime. The resources will naturally be reduced significantly, if the case doesn't go to trial.

Of course other people, who shall not be named, have lots of money, but they potentionally have hundreds of millions of victims, if they gave away national security secrets.

So, like if you have a lot of money from a job sitting on a board of an energy company despite having zero experience and being a crackhead, and that company is about to be investigated and your dad calls and gets the DA fired, that kind of money?

You mean the Ukrainian company that wasn't being investigated because the Ukrainian prosecutor Biden got sacked was crooked?

There was a Republican Senate investigation into that, remember? Didn't find anything wrong. But why would you believe Senate Republicans?

"It's true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn't because Shokin was investigating Burisma. It was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians.

As European and American diplomats pressed Ukraine to clean up its corruption, they focused on Shokin's leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office, which he took over in February 2015."

I expect you want to discuss people using their family name and connections to make money without mentioning you-know-who, now? Jared Kushner got $2 BILLION from the Saudis to "invest", which means he gets to cream off tens or hundreds of millions a year. I'm sure they chose him because he's an amazing fund manager.

Compared to the claims you and other idiots made of far worse crimes, like child pornography, bribery, etc. two tax misdemeanours and a lie on a federal form IS nothing. How much of the evidence for this came from the laptop, anyway?

By the way, how are you still on the "Orange Man who stole and mishandled national security documents, led a seditious conspiracy to take over the government and knowingly sent an armed mob to make a violent attack on the centre of power InNoCint"?

Remember when liberals would complain that black people getting jailtime for the same crimes that rich white people were convicted of and got off scot-free? I think you called it 'systemic racism' or something like that. I guess this is (D) ifferent.

The unusual aspect of Hunter’s case is that he was charged criminally at all."

Why am I not surprised that you ignore the fact that most people, and specifically Trump ally Roger Stone, who commit the misdemeanours Hunter Biden pleaded guilty to aren't criminally charged? Oh, wait, it's because you ignore facts and refuse to change your opinion based on actual evidence.

Yes. He was not guilty of anything the right were falsely accusing him of, however. Were any of the things he pleaded guilty of found because of evidence from the Amazing Laptop That Proves Everything? I don't think they were. Did the president go out of his way not to interfere? Yes. Are you still full of shit? Absolutely.

It was also in a book he wrote. Do you know how long he owned the gun? About 11 days.

Unlike you, I'm willing to change my opinion given more information. It doesn't change the fact that in October 2020, the laptop was more likely Russian disinformation than not (even Fox News thought so), and it was certainly released to reduce Biden's chances of winning. Much like the propping up of RFK's presidential bid, although it might attract more Republicans than Democrats (seeing as Trump will be on his way to prison and Republicans are more likely to believe anti-vax propaganda).

That was Durham telling you that. The guy Trump and Barr put in place, weaponising the DoJ, to try to find anything to smear the Mueller report and Biden gave years and millions of dollars to rope to hang himself. He lost every case he brought to court, his recommendations were all taken from the IG report made before he started, and he broke justice department rule by speaking out while running an investigation.

No media company would touch the laptop with a barge-pole when it first came out because it looked so much like Russian disinformation. How many of the claims that the right made about its content came to pass?

For example: "A team of cyber detectives has produced a 630-page report detailing the findings of a year-long investigation into the contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop which they say contains 459 violations of state and federal laws and regulations, according to The Daily Wire."

      Bull. Shit.

People commit federal crimes all the time without knowing so I imagine a lot. A lot of federal crimes are not really big things.
And I know I use free sites all the time so I am a pro at federal crimes.

I could in theory pirate a movie I guess, but other than that I don't think there is a lot of crimes I could plead guilty to and maybe get away with. But I'm not related to any very influencal people who could help me get away with crimes either.

Depending on the state i have already committed a few. One would be about 5 years ago, i defended my home with lethal force. Someone broke in.. And i shot them. Thankfully because of the state i live in, It was self defense and i wasn't even charged. Had this been in any leftist run state i would be in prison for life because those pieces of shit value criminals over law abiding citizens.

The prosecutor was appointed by Trump, President Biden could have fired him on day one of his presidency (traditionally that's what happens):

" “I want to make clear that, as the Atty Gen has stated, I have been granted ultimate authority over this matter [the investigation into Hunter Biden], including responsibility for deciding where, when, and whether to file charges and for making decisions necessary to preserve the integrity of the prosecution consistent with federal law, the Principles of Federal Prosecution, and Departmental regulations” US Attorney David Weiss wrote to [Rep.
