Depends on what you classify as "media". For example, commercials do it because it makes them more successful AKA create more sales and movies likes to do it because they can turn the love story into a more dramatic by including a conflict sparked by the different races and culture. There is also the part where many movies wants viewers to personally relate to certain characters so including more races into the cast is a simple way to do this.

Basically, if you can get away with an interracial couple in media its usually better to do it than not.

I think there's a general vibe to make everyone the same and blend all peoples, remove "national" in favor of global. maybe they view it as a way to quell national tensions and avoid conflict?

but I don't pay attention to the media as much.

Media companies and advertising agencies like to promote interracial couples because the theory is that inclusivity will expand market appeal and their customer base. They want to have more customers, so they try to appeal to more people.

Not sure what's the actual reason behind this but my best guess is they are trying to force society to see interracial dating and marriages as acceptable, not taboo anymore.

In commercials it's almost always a white woman with a black man, like some sort of propaganda campaign going on.

Diversity quotas. To use BBC as an example, they have mandated that shows produced by them must include a certain minum % of for example black people and other groups.
