What kind of people do you argue and debate with here on GaG?

Question

I usually argue with conservatives (not all!) and feminist women. I also count some of these people as my friends.  What about you?

Morons who will automatically discount anything on wikipedia without checking the sources, contradict themselves in a single post (the media is owned by the CCP, and the deep state), will continue to push an idea after it's been shown to be clearly wrong ("why would Dominion agree to settle just before pre-trial discovery?" when the jury was literally sitting, waiting for the trial to start), and insist that Trump didn't do anything wrong as long as one person investigating him did something not quite right. Not to mention refusing to read the indictment or listen to the audio of Trump personally admitting his guilt.

Then they accuse me of not having critical thinking skills.

It's frustrating, and also kind of fun.

Just you mainly. Other people can't string together a series of words that resemble a coherent sentence, much less something worth arguing against.

Q: Hey GaG SHould I eat rocks?

Literally the next 100 people: What, no that's crazy and or stupid, don't do that.

The one shrink: Perhaps you have pica.

Original asker: But what if that rock was sekretly chalk full of vytamens and menerals? Salt is a rock and it's healthy and needed!

Me: Yep... you're right... you should eat ALL the rocks. Good enough for birds good enough for us.

I'm pro abortion, but I want the mothers to kill their babies. I watched a clip of a doctor that did thousands of abortions. One day he was about to tear the baby apart, and the little guy's foot kicked his hand. The doctor broke down in tears and he never did another abortion.

Anyone willing to argue honestly. So many people want to troll, or just check out. Learning new things, how different people live or view the world can be pretty satisfying.

The internet makes the world pretty small, but not any less broad.

Non-Christian liberals or street thugs. But I’ve learned not to argue so much anymore because it all leads to a frozen account. Sometimes I argue with a troll that comes out of the woodwork‘s. But you don’t last since 2011 on this site without learning to play it cool

I don't tend to argue with people, if they feel that strongly about it, I am not about to change their mind, and nor should I.

I know my limits, beliefs and have a code that I live by, it may not be someone else's cup of tea, but to each their own.

I don't argue. I rarely even read the comments to my opinions, so people can shoot their mouth off as much as they want, it won't have any effect on me.

I don't argue. I give an opinion. I choose my words very carefully 95% of the time because I realize someone will almost always challenge me. Doesn't matter if I say the sky is blue. Someone will invariably say, "it isn't actually blue, rather the short blue rays are scattered more than any other color in the spectrum making the sky appear blue". Which is technically true.😆 Bottom line I do my best to leave the emotion out of any disagreement. When you get emotional you don't think rationally. And I always try to stay open to new information. But you can't start of with a falsehood and then expect me to believe anything that follows it.

Hopefully if the exchange is healthy me and the other person both leave the exchange having learned something we didn't know before (and hopefully it isn't that the other person is just an idiot).
