I usually argue with conservatives (not all!) and feminist women. I also count some of these people as my friends.
What about you?
5.3K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. Morons who will automatically discount anything on wikipedia without checking the sources, contradict themselves in a single post (the media is owned by the CCP, and the deep state), will continue to push an idea after it's been shown to be clearly wrong ("why would Dominion agree to settle just before pre-trial discovery?" when the jury was literally sitting, waiting for the trial to start), and insist that Trump didn't do anything wrong as long as one person investigating him did something not quite right. Not to mention refusing to read the indictment or listen to the audio of Trump personally admitting his guilt.
Then they accuse me of not having critical thinking skills.
It's frustrating, and also kind of fun.

+1 yJust you mainly. Other people can't string together a series of words that resemble a coherent sentence, much less something worth arguing against.
Q: Hey GaG SHould I eat rocks?
Literally the next 100 people: What, no that's crazy and or stupid, don't do that.
The one shrink: Perhaps you have pica.
Original asker: But what if that rock was sekretly chalk full of vytamens and menerals? Salt is a rock and it's healthy and needed!
Me: Yep... you're right... you should eat ALL the rocks. Good enough for birds good enough for us.

Okay and apparently Apple1996 now because she knows more about male "hygiene" while swimming than I do.
- +1 y
@Apple1996 No I think you DON'T know shiz about one topic... like how wearing underwear under swimming trunks is "more hygenic" and you refuse to accept the 9:1 ratio or responses saying nobody does that is because "we're all dirty"... as if a layer of cotton is some sort of barrier when you're swimming in the hudson river.
- +1 y
@Apple1996 but you're NOT trying to understand because you're usually hostile or antagonistic to any opposite opinion (NOT the people though, so kudos to you for that), and you don't argue with logic but emotional attachment to your position.
- +1 y
@Apple1996 But it is demonstrably cleaner... That's what I'm talking about. Having cotton briefs on under trunks absorbs all the ist you swim in, then holds it next to you, whereas the trunks are quick dry. I can "think" the water in the toilet bowl is cleaner than the bottle of alcohol, but what I think doesn't matter because by objective fact that makes no sense.
Since by your own survey 90% of men DON'T do that, is that something you're prepared to ask on all new first dates? Because you aren't going to like the answer. There are countless scenes in movies about pantsing someone in trunks. That trope exists for a reason, but your way is "better"...
Think of it as keeping the maxipad on for a week because that beats taking it off after a couple hours - +1 y
@Apple1996 If you're asking a question why would you fight an opinion at all? That's how confirmation bias happens. Using emotion at all has no place in a testable scenario. Drop the rock, it falls, doesn't matter how you feel about it.

@Apple1996 You're absolutely right
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yI'm pro abortion, but I want the mothers to kill their babies. I watched a clip of a doctor that did thousands of abortions. One day he was about to tear the baby apart, and the little guy's foot kicked his hand. The doctor broke down in tears and he never did another abortion.

The internet makes the world pretty small, but not any less broad.

Sometimes I argue with a troll that comes out of the woodworkโs. But you donโt last since 2011 on this site without learning to play it cool

+1 yI don't tend to argue with people, if they feel that strongly about it, I am not about to change their mind, and nor should I.
I know my limits, beliefs and have a code that I live by, it may not be someone else's cup of tea, but to each their own.

60 Reply3.6K opinions shared on Society & Politics topic. I don't argue. I rarely even read the comments to my opinions, so people can shoot their mouth off as much as they want, it won't have any effect on me.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI don't argue. I give an opinion. I choose my words very carefully 95% of the time because I realize someone will almost always challenge me. Doesn't matter if I say the sky is blue. Someone will invariably say, "it isn't actually blue, rather the short blue rays are scattered more than any other color in the spectrum making the sky appear blue". Which is technically true.😆 Bottom line I do my best to leave the emotion out of any disagreement. When you get emotional you don't think rationally. And I always try to stay open to new information. But you can't start of with a falsehood and then expect me to believe anything that follows it.
Hopefully if the exchange is healthy me and the other person both leave the exchange having learned something we didn't know before (and hopefully it isn't that the other person is just an idiot).

I'm not in the mood for an argument lol, just an opinion
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yArgue? Debate?
That would imply you shitlibs have an actual tenable position to defend.
You donโt. Routinely.
So instead itโs more fun to point out the inconsistencies and absurdities of your arguments for everyone to see. Itโs pretty easy.
