Is it sad being 32 and you don’t know how to shoot a gun?

Why would that be sad? I don't know what percentage of people have never fired a gun, but I know it's a lot.

There's nothings special about firing a gun unless it's something you enjoy. Humans naturally do similar things. If you take a kid to a lake or river and a log floats by, the kids will grab stones and start trying to hit the log. It's completely natural. Look at all the sports where you try to kick or throw a ball into a net, or hit a dart board, or hit bowling pins, or hit a golf ball into a hole. It's all pretty much the same thing. If someone hasn't fired a gun at a target, they' probably done one of the other things.

I'm about 60 and haven't fired a gun. Just never been particularly interested. I might sometime if there is an easy opportunity.

If I were to get a gun, I'd want to be expert with it and that takes a lot of effort

Not really.. I don't know how to shoot one or want to know how... I don't know why but whenever my dad had his rifle around (hunting season) it used to scare me like it was gonna go off at any minute..
I am more of a sword person, if I was gonna kill some one I would love it to be fun and gory LOL

Not really. Unless if you are using a gun for sport, there’s really no reason to learn how to shoot a gun.

No, that's really no issue. I learned it at 19 in the military, including also a machine gun, but I have never used these skills in the decades that followed. Luckily, my country did not mobilize its reserves as we were not attacked.

Simple answer... it's not sad at all. What IS sad are the people who own guns and have never had training in how to properly use them.

I shot my father's.22 rifle when I was young a few times but never owned firearms until I was past 50. I guess the way the country is going we will all have to start packing heat. Just make sure you get proper training.

No. I was raised on guns. I was taught to hunt and fish. But I don't particularly like hunting or shooting guns. Had I not had the father I did I probably would have never picked up a gun.

I want to make it clear I don't have a problem with guns. I just don't have any kind of affinity for them.

Depends where you’re from. In America? Yeah that’s probably sad, since they’re all gun crazy. But in my country it’s not sad, it’s normal, not many people own guns or have shot a gun unless they’re police, military or licensed hunters.

Not sad at all. They might just not be interested in shooting. You can go to a range rent one, go shooting and never own 1. Lessons are a great thing to do.
