Generalizations are often forms of bigotry. It's like saying all people of a certain group are this way or that way. It causes misunderstanding, hate and divisiveness.

It's stupid to think that all conservatives or all liberals or all men or all women or all blacks, whites or Mexicans have the same attitudes, behaviors or beliefs. People are not homogeneous. Individuals are not stereotypes.

I always use qualifiers when talking about groups of people. Ex: "Why do 'some' women do this?"

Generalities exist for a reason though. They're consistent patterns. Obviously there always going to be exceptions or outliers but there's always a general rule for everything
