It's all about them monnies, Lamborghinis and sleeping with 20 year old avaricious female supermodels.

Not all lawyers would have the experience or expertise to defend a famous person. Of the qualified few, many would refuse to defend Putin, or Hitler, or Biden, because most lawyers have a conscience and morals.
A few lawyers would want the job. Some would want the job for the money, some would want the job for the fame it would bring them, and some would want the job just or the challenge.

Absolutely, especially since my family has zero social media presence. I do think it's kind of an irrelevant question though as likely no one on here is on the level to be part of Putin's security or legal team.
I don't understand a word of Russian... If I was asked to help out there I'd just be a Patsy as I'd be a liability in either case.
Absolutely. Everyone is entitled to legal representation when on trial. The Nazis at the Hague had a trial and legal counsel for war crimes.
But yeah in divorce cases etc and other cases lawyers will deliberately take bullshit cases to court knowing there is no case and that they can't win because the defence and prosecution get paid. Its in their intrest to keep the case going.
of course, an actin attorney doesn't have to actually like your client, just represent them zealously within the bounds of the law.

Among the key principles that makes our legal system work is the right to a vigorous defense. Without attorneys willing to represent even the most unpopular clients, we would be left with a mockery of a justice system. This is why the UK government’s warning to barristers not to represent Russians in UK courts is a huge violation of English common law. John Adams, no friend to the British government, demonstrated this principle by vigorously and successfully defending the redcoats who were put on trial for the Boston Massacre.
Hey would have to. You can't judge a client , its your job to get the best possible result for the client whether guilty or not , that's not the issue. There would be a very good insanity defense certainly in the case of Hitler , you'd present the case of his entire life which is a fascinating story -- It would not be purely about the money.
Imagine the profile also , thats 70% of it.
Its more than just money. Justice means that everyone gets a fair chance. The devil himself deserves a fair trial. Without a trial, how can you know the accusations were actually right?
A fair trial, at least in many countries, includes having legal representation.
Actually, some would no matter what they're paid because they believe everyone deserves representation and/or they relish the challenge. Plus once you get assigned a case, you generally want to get the best result you can.
Not only when the money is good, everyone has the right to be defended by a lawyer, so someone has to do it.
Just to state the facts: Lawyers have defended Hitler.
Jewish lawyers actually took up many of the Nazis' legal defense. In my opinion, that is a true act of bravery.
Not hypothetically, there are a lot of lawyers who would defend them, not because of their money, but because they genuinely believe they've done nothing wrong
Absolutely blasters defended Josef fritzl, who admitted to raping his daughter daily for over 20 years.
I would 👍business is business. Plus i would be very famous after such a trail and i would have many clients
Lawyers have an obligation to represent anyone who needs it, the way doctors have an obligation to treat the patient in front of them.
Everyone is entitled to a legal defence, even when they're clearly guilty.
