A terrorist is someone with an agenda who having failed to realise their agenda by other means attempts to force governments to comply with their demands through the use of a sustained campaign of 'terror' i. e. blowing shit up etc.

Those protesters had collectively tens of thousands of guns that they left home. If it was terrorist attack or a takeover they would have brought the guns and no one there would have been able to stop them. It was a protest no different that some of the Lefts crazy protests.

i would say that the primary mechanism of a "terrorist" attack is to spread terror. in other words create fear. i don't think that was the goal of the attack on the capitol. i think the goal of that was the change of the current political paradigm with the ultimate goal of having a better mutual future instead of "spreading fear".
