Since All American are immigrants (apart from original American) then why old immigrants preventing new ones from coming?

Our ancestors went through the immigration process. Many came through Ellis Island which processed immigrants since 1855. Many who went there were rejected so it was not a given that one would get into the country. We still have many joining us the legal route. The number of illegals is up for debate but can be 40 million. The government says less but they lie a lot. In short, we like legal immigrants. We don’t like people who break into our country and take resources such as emergency rooms at hospitals, schools and other resources.

They came by old ships that didn’t always make it. They came willing to follow the rules and not try to be evasive. They didn’t know if they would be sent back or not. Illegals have absolutely no intention of doing it the legal way. They could be safe and apply for citizenship and follow the rules. Their first act though is to be an illegal, break in and steal services.

Native Americans were immigrants too from Asia. They were opposed to immigration.
