A. i would need to be able to code in of itself and create another pocket that only feeds itself until its self aware. That's called the singularly. We are closer then we ever were but with todays A. There are real dangers from AI in the form of misinformation and economic disruption, but at least so far we are very far from "general" AI where it is able to do things like "rebel"

I don't personally believe programs are ever going to be possible of becoming self aware. But if you watched 60 minutes tonight. They are learning to lie now. (Only because humans lie though). They will ALWAYS be constrained by the limits over our knowledge. Sure they can compute faster than outer human brains but that's it.
