It's nowhere as bad as people love to make it out to be. They do that by saying "gun deaths" instead of homicide with a firearm. This allows for things like suicides (which is actually the most common type of "gun death"), accidental firings and self defense to artificially inflate the numbers and make the situation look a lot worse than it actually is to justify disarming the population instead of wondering why people are doing this.

We need a rebranding to responsibly. Not going to touch rights but create a national pride of responsibly. With that the culture changes into something meaningful.

Just saying you have a right becomes a hollow gap almost vacuum. There there needs a larger meaning then a just a right some purpose or responsibly.
