2003 date mark bottom right of the portrait. It's older but not beat up. Without myself actually touching it, it got stuck somewhere and recently circulated more them likely. So real im guessing without touching to be 100%.

$100 had a similar format without today's color anti counterfeit holographic measure in 2003. The next series started that i think. Way older bills had half the size of portraits in the center of bill. I work in retail and once a year we get those and younger chasers go "is this real" makes me feel old.

I can't tell, but if it is exposed to sunlight or washed with special bleaching detergent for white clothes, the colour may change.

Don't American bills have safety marks like a flourescent watermark or something.

It's an older note, issued before March 2008 (I can see the 2003 date on this bill). The ones that replaced it do not have a frame around Lincoln's face. I can see from separate comments you've found the watermark. It's legit, besides, a $1 or $5 wouldn't be worth a counterfeiter's time to make. It would be like counterfeiting nickels lol.

A stripper probably got to it. Some of them wash, dry then use a hair straightern to make the money look new but it fades out the color

Over a light look through the bill and look for a marking inside the bill that says FIVE DOLLARS, if it's there, the bill is real
