Why are baby boomers and middle aged people so accepting of single parenthood?

It’s really morally poor. My generation is not going to show the same amount of tolerance for single parents, and coparenting. Different values likely due to Vietnam.

Because the alternative would be to isolate people in desperate need of social support, potentially including their own family members. It also means neglecting blameless babies.

That's flat-out moral bankruptcy. Punishing innocent people for the nonconforming behavior of others while claiming the moral high ground? You don't have different values; you lack values entirely.
