He was probably the most anti-communist and anti-Russia president this country has had. He's the one who got us into Vietnam. He's by far the most over rated president in my life.

As far as being Republican today, I'd say almost ALL Democrats from his day would be Republican today. The country has gone so far left since then that even the most liberal people back then would be moderate conservative today.
