Should I report her?

I work with this lady so she is technically my work mate. We see each other every day. I felt like I was discriminated because of my race and I'm Latino. She technically said a stereo type about my race even tho it was positive I still felt like I was offended either way. I Told told her that I was born in the USA. I just don't think people should be bringing up any subject about race in the work environment. Should I report her? I still have time to cancel my meeting with HR tommorow.

No. Simply have a conversation with her and tell her you didn’t appreciate the comments. If the shoe was on the other foot wouldn’t you want her to give you first crack at resolving it rather than run and tattle to the HR goon squad? Best to solve your own issues.

I don't think you understand she was pinpointing my race which is the whole point. it's not ok to stereo type other races in a work environment.

Well it started of me saying I love the warm weather and she said "well yeah your from Mexico" but I told her no i was born in the states but she said " no I meant " she didn't want to say my race but then she pointed her fingers at me. Obviously saying indirect that I look from a different race.

Yes her best work mate. I think they see each other as family cuz they even hang out whenever they are not working. They are always inviting each other to places. So I don't think when I complain to her it's gonna go in my favor. But who knows
