The vote was 86 to 11 to pass the bill, which would authorize $886 billion for national defense over the next year. We can't feed people or provide healthcare but - we have ridiculous amounts for "defense".

Pardon my French, they are just infuriating. people in Flint and east Palestine are still being poisoned & can’t drink their water. 60+ thousand avoidable deaths per year bc of lack of health care medical bankruptcy & debt servicing is causing millions to reach near or full homelessness status, states still @ 7/$ hour minimum wage while cost of living is up 200%, elderly have to choose between heat food & medicine , vets are given the option to be euthanized bc they can not Afford their trauma — but by all means generate multi billion$ war packets every few month to fund painful death in a foreign country for a proxy war that never should’ve seen the light of day… the billion$ war crime cluster bombs are a lovely additional touch for the children already suffering unbelievably.

it’s ok bc at least we live in a democracy and we have the political power to vote against war since it affects every single person in every facet of their life.. oh wait nope we can’t. /:
