Do you read the bill?

If there is a legislation that's being proposed, do you read it at all? Do you read the actual text of the bill or do you read or listen to summaries and commentaries on it?

Do you make an honest and objective assessment of it and how it will be implemented?

I try; generally speaking, I avoid commenting on something until I have at least a decent understanding of it. The absurd length of many bills (largely an effort to sneak things in) prevents me from being able to say I always do, though.

I honestly don’t read the bill itself, but I do look at multiple sources that summarize it.
