By showing that LGBTQ+ animals can be created, that illustrates that a person being LGBTQ+ is not "a lifestyle __choice__" because biochemical influences and genetic mutations can induce "LGBTQ+ - ness".

This implies that "conversion therapy" and "praying the gay away" aren't going to work because what has happened to these people is endemic to who they are.
