How do ordinary looking people cope with being ordinary looking?

Simple: just come to terms with being an "average" person that doesn't stand out. Then focus on being happy with yourself, or if you're really that unhappy being "ordinary," find ways to make yourself look and feel more appealing in order to boost your self esteem.

Yeah, I could get a makeover, change my looks, hair, even stop wearing glasses and swap out to contacts instead- but that wouldn't make me happy, and if I suddenly starting attention, it would show how superficial people... which irks me, a lot.

I've already tried to change myself by losing weight: I figured outside of health reasons, it would make me more attractive to others. Even tried dressing and looking more feminine: nope, no effect.

So I'm over it. I'm too old to care what others think of my appearance now. I'm just going to focus on being happy with myself.

Everyone has days where they’re not feeling how they look, and other days they might be feeling pretty good about themselves. Certain life events can put things into perspective too and you can feel lucky to be alive.

I used to be a sub-5 in looks & that was a lot harder to cope with. Now that I'm average, it's easer since I have an above average looking body & I have other valuable qualities that are not involved with looks. So, there's not a large amount of coping that I really have to do. I'm no so ugly that I stand out in a bad way & I'm not so attractive that I stand out in a good way. I'm in the middle so nobody really mentions my looks.

When I'm down about my looks, I talk to my mommy. She tells me how fucking hot I am! Then we have a make out session.

To you they might be ordinary looking but to another person they might be pretty or handsome.

I don’t find Ryan Gosling and Jason Moma attractive for example but many other women do.
