Do you believe in progressive taxation?

The more you work, the more hours you put in, the more money you make. You will get taxed more and more. I do not agree with this. Why should hard working people pay more for those who do not work or are simply bottom feeders!

Hard work has very little to do with how much money you make. No one earns a billion dollars, its not humanly possible to perform enough labor to be worth that much. The idea that people who make more money works harder is a complete and utter myth told to you so that you will become a more productive and hard working laborer for the people with money and power.

However, even if you believe in that garbage idea that hardwork is rewarded, not with more work but with money, then even then it makes sense for a progressive tax. How much do you use the roads for example? The tax goes to build and upkeep infrastructure and the people who uses them the most are the rich people who relies upon the established infrastructure to support their industry.

It is the rich people that is the bottom feeders. The poor actually do the work after all.

Although I haven't sat down and gone through the various pros and cons of such a system, I can tell you with absolute certainty that any entity that had the term 'progressive' in its title is instantly a non starter for me. Remember, if it's billed as 'progressive', you can be sure that it's actually regressive, and designed only to make your life miserable.

Precisely right. Harder you work less you should have to pay. I mean if you’re the guy that’s contributing to society instead of being a burden, you should get to keep more of the money for yourself, or at least be paying the same as everybody else

When they tax booze, it's because they want to discourage booze. When they tax productivity and success... well you get the rest.

I think only people within the top 10% of wealth should be taxed if we must have taxes. The government is just wasting their time taxing everyone else.
