It seems greedy to me because the person who died likely paid taxes while they were alive so I do not see why the person set to inherit should be taxed if the person they are inheriting from already paid their taxes while they were alive.

The threshold is over 10 million to start taxing an estate. I'm never touching 10 million in my estate so fuck them. This is representative government and this tax law makes my life better. I'm voting for it or calling my representative to make it happen like 99% of the population should purely for self intrest.

Even if I did I'd laugh in my death bed the fact the government is taking my money over my dead body. It's also time for the kids to grow up because I'm not around anymore.

You could also set up trust funds that would get taxed like realized stock funds once cashed out.
