Why are most clubs 21+ and over?

Some places have a legal drinking age of 21+. So makes sense for the club to be 21+ since they serve alcohol. Clubs are 18+ here since that’s the legal drinking age.

The legal drinking age must be 21+ there then. It’s 18 where I live. And there’s no door charge for clubs. You don’t pay to get in, you just pay for your drinks.

The adults don't want to hang out with teenagers who can't handle their liquor when they sneak in drinks.

I've seen 25+ and 30+ clubs too, largely to keep the riffraff out.

Because people under 21 cannot legally buy alcohol and these clubs make most of their money from selling watered down, overpriced drinks.

Probably due to alcohol consumption. Easier to check people on the door then have bar staff do it at point of serving.

Because if you’re a club owner, would you rather a person come into your bar who will have several $9 drinks over the course of the night, or someone who drinks $0 water?
