I think it's insane. Humans are sexually binary creatures. There are only men and women.
"Trans"women are men and "trans" men are women. Cosmetic surgery doesn't change that. We shouldn't be humoring their delusions by doing away with terms that refer to men and women.

Saying things like "menstruating persons" and "birthing parents" is sick.

Although, it makes sense to do away with gendered terms like policeman and fireman, for example, because both men and women can be employed in those professions. Police officer and fire fighter is respectful to both genders.
