Being found guilty is not the same thing as going to prison. and going to prison may or may not be the result of being found guilty.

I think the far-right-owned media has primed most voters with the notion that republicans should be the default "normal" choice, and we should only elect Democrats when Republicans have royally screwed something up again. As such literally any republican who even makes an offhand comment that might be interpreted as opposing Christian nationalism will fly around the right-owned "liberal media" as the obvious default choice.

This will, of course, put off the christian nationalist alt right. But to bring them back in, the candidate merely has to promise Trump a pardon and the media will ensure their victory from there, which means Trump will be pardoned possibly before there is even a trial.

The one wrench to this plan is Trump, himself. He doesn't want to be beholden to anyone for a pardon. He will try, instead, to force the GOP to do what the can now, by winning the GOP nomination. I suspect the GOP is willing to take a loss in 2024 if it means finally being rid of Trump, though. They are 100% aware he would be far more useful to them as a martyr. He can be their new Jesus, but not until after he's crucified. Once Trump is silenced with jail, they know they can finally put words in his mouth and feign rage on his behalf to con his supporters into backing the mainstream GOP once again.

But as long as Trump can say and do whatever he wants, they have to watch in irritation as he destroys all their best and intricate scams with his blundering scams. They'd prefer Trump be put away before the primaries start, so they can get to claiming his victimhood in his absence and making it very clear to him and optionally his supporters he gets no pardon if he doesn't fall in line. But it doesn't look like any of the judges are going to do that, with the plausible exception of the DC trial. And if he gets put away during the primaries in such a way that he must drop out of the race, the GOP will be fully prepared to make pardoning him central to their campaign - they just can't say it now because they know they have to act surprised when the time comes or it will be harder to convince his base that their fake anger is real anger.

I'd say it's a 50/50 chance.

There is a motivation for the left to keep him out of prison, as he will continue to be public enemy number 1 to get votes against him.

The question is: is that motivation strong enough to keep him out of prison or weak enough that the establishment has decided that they are done with him, possibly due to the emergence of a new scapegoat target?

I've lost count of how many times and things they tried to charge him with already. It's like one new thing every week at this point.

It's clearly just to try and get him out of the election stuff, but each time it ups his popularity with everyone that wants to see deep-state woke people get fired as well as all the ones that just want to accelerate the collapse... a strange alliance.

I've lost interest, to be honest. He'll get my vote if he gets a chance to run, I guess... Wish he wouldn't run for POTUS to be honest and just enjoy being rich as hell. Let Ron DeSantis take it or that Ramadana Swammy guy (can't remember his name off the top of my head). I might even throw a vote in RFK's direction. Anything with a single hint of woke... that's NOT getting my vote. That's all I know for now. My votes are about 4 votes right now... people letting me vote for them shows you how much people really care.

He will not be found guilty. Many legal experts have been saying all along how weak these cases are and the one in Georgia is a real stretch, especially the RICO statute but it is not about finding guilt it is about tying him up in court to prevent him from campaigning.
