I’m not sure whether I’d call it a mental illness. An illness is a condition that affects the normal functioning of a person's body or mind - a mental illness is a condition which affects the normal functioning of a person’s brain. Most illnesses can be cured or treated, so that they can hopefully return to normal.

There are conditions which are not classified as illnesses, such as autism. Autism is a neurological and developmental condition which affects the way a person understands the world and interacts with other people. Unlike an illness it’s not something which can be treated with medication, and it’s also not something which can be caught by somebody who previously was not autistic.

I’d say that being LGBT is also neurological or developmental condition. It’s a maladaptive mutation.

I believe anyone who thinks gender is "assigned" is mentally ill. You're born one sex or the other; it's not an arbitrary designation. In the case of intersex babies, it's a decision, yes, but that's altering (or leaving) the physical reality in front of them, not "assigning" anything.

Gender dysphoria is a mental illness, yes. But not all transgender people have it, especially after correction surgery. But saying the lgbt is a mental illness? Absolutely not. Someone’s sexuality is not a mental illness.

I don’t believe homosexuality is a mental illness. Homosexual people don’t take pills and don’t have surgery on their genitalia because of their homosexuality

I do believe transgender people are mentally ill.
They take pills which can lead to health problems and do surgery on perfectly well functioning body parts.

Trans people are a person with a boy body who thinks they are a girl or a person with a girl body who thinks they is a boy. That seems like a delusional to me.

Trans people think they are the opposite sex but physically, biologically and objectively they aren’t.

Not LGB. But GD (gender dysphoria) certainly is. And it should be treated as such instead of trying to normalize and promote it.

LGB no, I believe it is biologicat. I believe that T gender chould be treated without drug interaction. The disphoria does not always last.
