Being part of the LGBTQ community isn’t a mental health issue,

Mental health issues can be helped with medication and therapy,

Being gay cannot as it’s not an illness, you are born gay you are not born depressed,

Your not born a bigot or an asshole it’s a taught behaviour you don’t have to stay an asshole you can change but being gay you can’t change as it’s not an illness or a choice. So maybe you should learn that before you come on here sounding like an absolute twit.

Unfortunately the idea that all mental health issues can be helped with medication and therapy is simply not true. That said much can be done to help people who are LGBTQ. Also people are born with countless other kind of mental health problems including predisposition to depression.

Once again what makes something a health issue is whether or not it interfere in your ability to function as a successful living being. There is no question that being LGBTQ is a mental health issue as there is no question that their predispositions do not incline them towards a healthy lifestyle.

They are by definition mentally ill. They are compelled by a mental state to engage in behavior that is contrary to their biological imperative (to reproduce), spreads disease (gays specifically), and I won't even start with the transgender people (who literally mutilate their bodies and take drugs to "embody" a persona contrary to biological sex).

Maybe not necessarily a mental health issue, except for transes, but a genetic anomaly. Biology works as such that you need a Male and a Female to fall in love and procreate. Right? That's the normal. So obviously anything other than heterosexual is ABNORMAL.

Presuming LGBTQ is not a choice, It's hard not to see LGBTQ as a mental health issue, as LGBTQ definitely interferes with their ability to lead a healthy productive life, just like all other mental health issues.

That however doesn't mean said people can't make better choices to better manage their conditions like anyone else with a mental health issue. If for example it is an addiction then many beleive abstinence would improve their disposition.
