Is cyber bullying even considered real bullying? I mean does anyone remember MW2 pregame lobbies in 2009-2014? They were absolutely feral. Every slur and derrogatory remark was usedin droves.

I always considered the Internet to be a digital Wild West. Online you can always block and report people who are heckling you.

Real life is a lot different and I've been advocating for bullying to categorized as a criminal act for years cause I've dealt with it and seen other kids deal with it and its not fun.

But I'm just not convinced that cyber bullying is the same thing.

In the end you can just block them. Choose not to use the social media, keep the profile private, etc. But it's still bullying and so many people are insecure. Even celebrities would ignore the millions of compliments and get depressed over the one hater comment they see. I don't support it, but it can be shut down to an extent.

I'm not in favor of any type of bullying. However, I still think we should have healthy stigmas though. Like ones that discourage harmful behaviors. They can & do help nudge people in the right direction without us having to even say anything.

@JoeMichael67 yep, actual bullying exists for kids because it's in an environment they can't escape from and usually can't be stopped by actions that they personally take.
People who complain about cyber bullying or adults who whine about bullying are just weak individuals.
