If Ron DeSantis was to win the 2024 presidency how would you react and why?

I'd be fine with it, though he's at best my third choice amongst the Republicans.

The biggest problem with Ron is that he is unavoidably beholden to the big donors in the party, which means basically anything he has done or said up this point barely matters. It's a very realistic even if cynical expectation that he'd basically be a George W Bush 2.0, who was notably an excellent governor and a pretty dysmal president mainly because he let his party appointees run over him constantly.

I'd be slightly disappointed that Trump didn't get his second term but, Ron's just about as good as Trump so, at least great work would still be getting done. I still say they should buddy up and have Ron as Don's VP and then, in 4 years, Don can be Ron's VP.
