It depends on your definition of "feminist." As most people define it as a desire for equality then yes by that definition if you do not believe in equality of the sexes you are, by definition, a misogynist. If, on the other hand, you expand or rather retract the definition to include Patriarchy Theory (as defined by the book the Second Sex), you can be for equality yet not be a feminist.

To me, Patriarchy Theory, is the definition of feminism. The theory that men have traditionally been in power and have used that power to marginalize and limit women. Further, this definition then leads to such beliefs as "one woman" and the Duluth Model of domestic violence, etc.

I would say no because I consider being a feminist and being a misogynist like two crash barriers on each side of a road they are like two extremes that still allow a middle path. I think what young guys need to learn in a modern culture is a way of going their path without taking it to an extreme. I think it´s possible because when I look at many guys that are closer to your age Coach in my life in real life they achieve it. They are no way from being feminist but at the same time they are not disrespectful to the women in their life.
So I think it´s possible but it´s hard work nonetheless.

    Noooooo! Please just no!

First of all, most men who are feminists don't do it to support feminism. Think about it.

And second, if I were a man I would not support modern feminism, which is about women and not equality. You can't support equality while only considering one side of an equation.

Can we just stop with all the gender movements please? They are doing so much more harm that good.

No, your don't HAVE to subscribe to any ridiculous ideology to be a decent person. I definitely don't agree with either of these ideologies as they stand in their current state. I believe that everyone should be treated equally. In the US there are NO laws that men have and women don't and the gender pay gap isn't real. Anyone that tries to tell you different doesn't understand basic math and isn't worth arguing with. What is real is the men out there who wind up homeless after a divorce because the courts insist on taking 2/3 of their paychecks.

This isn't a universal experience. You pointed out that this might be the case in the US - which I am not educated enough to speak on since I'm NOT from that country. But equality in legal, social and work affairs varies from country to country. According to our Federal Statistical Office, women in 2022 earned an average of 7% less per hour than their male colleagues, despite bringing the same qualifications & employment histories to the table. It's slowly getting better, though. But in other countries that don't belong to Europe, it looks entirely differently - not only regarding the gender pay gap but more importantly, laws that prevent women from education.

anything that is remotely critical of women these days is considered misogyny

it doesn't matter if she cheats, she abuses, she files for divorce out boredom, she lies about being raped etc. no one is allowed to call her out unless you want to be canceled

not even women are allowed to call other women out unless the women being called out are conservative women like Candace Owens

No, just don't hate women. Don't look at women as being negative. Misogynists view women as being lower than them and most of their views are negative views of women. Just don't have a hate boner for women. It's not hard to do the right thing and be a decent human being.

No, that's stupid. That's like saying I'm a racist if I don't support BLM (despite that BLM has proven time and time again that they've never even sent a single brown penny from their donation money to any poverty-stricken black communities in America). Feminism is very similar in that regard in that it only caused more harm for women than it helped ironically.

Not at all. Further, based on what I've seen, most women today that outwardly consider themselves feminists are actually misandrists, hiding behind a movement that once had a genuine cause. And I think a lot of people, both men and women alike have realized this, and have separated themselves from it. I do love women, and will always support women with good intentions, but I can no longer put myself in the same category as todays version of feminism.

Women call men "misogynist" for whatever reason - ex. he said something she disagree with. I do not think claiming that you are "feminist" will save you. It is now quite an empty world. Same as "racist". If you are white you are "racist" whatever you do or do not do.

There is a lot of middle ground between hating women and being a simping male feminist soyboy. Male feminists are the most smarmy creeps out there.

And if the Tates hated women they wouldn't be surrounded by them.

Being (misogynistic) in today's modern woman's mind is a man who is a man and who won't intolerate to feministic views from women who are sexist or ( misanderistic) . In other words don't agree with her ; then your misogynistic.

This question really can't be answered without a concrete definition of "Feminism". I'm all for women's rights and equality. But I do not support feminism because that is not what modern feminism seeks.
