Feminism is turning the most masculine men into feminine bitches due to how men are "supposed" to act shit like don't sexualize the female body and this kind of stupid crap.. Also them asking for jobs and same pay grade under the idea that they are independent but then only care for a man that can provide her money and well being is counter intuitive because one can't happen while the other exists and therefore stupid while men never cared about a woman that can provide so feminism just from mindset perspective is ruining everything from sexuality to jobs to lifestyle.. Funniest part is that those who call the most for feminism are those celebrities who could technically buy and enslave 200 males if this was the 1700s so let's not talk about money equality because a woman makes the same as the man if they have the same position and they definitely could and they know it.. So honestly this whole feminism thing is a cancer that i can't believe some people are actually going for it and i didn't even get all the points the guys here probably made a lot of other points.. Cancer that's the keyword for this

Like people talk about unemployment rate well yea no economy was based on being able to get job opportunities for men alone.. let alone both men and women and them asking for more jobs is crazy while other men are actually losing their jobs and become and are perceived as shitty non valuable people that no one would marry because he can't provide (if it was a woman's case we all know men wouldn't accept that) even though they probably can do a better job and still women have the audacity to ask for more as if like problems ain't enough

Everyone smart enough should choose a partner that is financially stable, regardless of gender. The fact that some men just don't care makes me believe they are simply stupid. If I was a man, I would find a woman who is as financially stable as I am, because you can't live of love and sex. And there is nothing wrong with objectifying a woman's body, but then don't complain when women do it too, because we do too. Everyone clicks differently. Feminism is about equality and men should pay attention to it more. Just look at porn for example; most of it is dedicated for men and their sexual preferences. How is that fair?

Exactly what you just said proves everything I've said to be true.. It's all in our psych most women would not go for a man that is not financially stable while most men wouldn't care if a woman is not financially stable that's not what we're looking for and I'm not saying that it's wrong for women to be looking for that either but it's definitely wrong to be looking for that and also want jobs at the expense of men (not saying that you guys didn't work for it it's just psychologically wrong and therefore wrong in the order of society) asking for jobs as if like everyone has jobs and you are the only ones that don't is crazy.. I am definitely with you when it comes to objectivitying the male body as well all we have to do is go to the gym and eat well this should be common sense for all men.. About porn i am with you in like 5 years but for now it's fair due to the fact that the porn industry from the moment it was created the massive majority of its viewers are men women were always into literotica more read about it if you haven't heard of that (books like 50 shades of grey) so yea evem though you and your social circle and other women are like that a lot of other women don't like the idea of porn just yet maybe out of close mindedness or maybe because they really don't like it (don't expect that) but still porn is a business until statistics show that women are watching your best shot is gonna be at lesbian porn probably

The problem is that society calls it WRONG when a woman objectifies a man's body or watches porn, and when a man is getting off of 50 shades of gray. The whole point of feminism is that all of that is NORMAL. No one should be judged for their preferences and everyone should have a chance to choose.

@little_bird1 I have to ask this: so if all of that is normal, why is it a hallmark of feminism that men should not objectify a woman's body?

@little_bird1 I completely agree with you about all of this this should be normal and no one should be judged for their preferences but we both know that feminism is not just about that it actually counters these beliefs by attacking men and ignorantly asking for stuff and stating things as if like there is some big scheme against them there ain't just read some psychology and know about economy and all of feminism will be shattered.. So here is the thing i like your own opinion i like what you believe but this isn't feminism this is just one side of one topic that has to do with the blasphemous entirety of feminism

Feminism is definitely for men as well! I just wish the term was changed to something more masculine AND feminine instead of initially just sounding feminine when heard. I support feminism but in this day and age, I'm ashamed to even speak of it because the people who take it too far are actually the people who just straight up hate men and want females to be the superior race and whatnot. commonly called feminazis. adding onto that, there has been this trend where people are calling each other "simps" for showing any kind of gratitude for women so if males show support for feminism, you already know what society will do to you.

    Yes.

You can have an equal partner instead of some illiterate child you have to look after.

You can actually marry a woman knowing that she desires you because she has the freedom to date and not being forcibly married off by her parents.

You also have more female doctors and your woman doesn't have to let a male doctor look at her body for certain diagnoses. Of course a lot of women and even men don't mind the idea of a woman visiting a male doctor, but at least you have the option for a female doctor if you want! In conservative cultures, lack of female doctors used to be a big issue because male doctors had a hard time treating female patients due to heavy restrictions and gender segregation. Imaging having to treat a woman who won't take her burkha off as a male doctor.

Both you and your partner have options when it comes to having children, and how you would like to raise them.

Your daughter's life doesn't get doomed if she doesn't get married.

There are more but I'll end it right here.

I'm not even a modern feminist myself but have appreciation for what Feminism has done for women historically.

Anyone who read my answer can tell that I'm speaking of what Feminism advocated for originally in past and still does in parts of the world where gender equality is still non-existent.

If a man downvotes to THAT, they can't blame me for assuming they are supportive of child marriage.

Yes I absolutely can, not only is it a disgusting statement to make but it shows you have no interest in conversing with anyone who disagrees with you. Can you actually point to any serious group or party in the western world supporting we bring back child marriage? No, you can't.

The vast majority of people in the western world don't have a problem with women's rights but many have a problem with feminism, historical feminism and feminism today are as alike as water and wine.

It's actually not clear that you don't like modern feminism as you refer to feminism here, not any specific wave or time period, you finish your statement with 'There are more but I'll end it right here' this all leads people to believe you're addressing feminism as a whole not only what you have said above.

I'd learn to be more specific if you're going to be so aggressive and disgusting towards those who don't somehow figure out exactly what you meant.

I never put you in any box you did that yourself calling people paedophiles for disagreeing with you when you're actual point wasn't even clear. Like I said learn clarity before being so disgusting towards other people and maybe take your own advice and remember america isn't the only country in the world.

When I said America isn't the only country in the world, I didn't mean it to assume you're American, but rather that the type of Feminism I'm speaking for is the SJW shit happening in America and some other Western societies. You brought up Western society, you brought up things like wave/groups that actually aren't even that relevant to non-Western parts of the world since they have a different history of feminism.

And I already said, I believe my answer covers the basics well enough. I'm answering a g@g question, not writing a thesis.

I'm not exactly sure how you think you defended you're 'news flash America isn't the only country in the world' by then referencing the entire western world. If you were at all aware of this kind of thing you'd know modern feminism and SJWs are throughout the entire western world where I'm from in the UK actually being a huge hotspot for it.

I speak of western society because it's the only society where women have the rights you mentioned above, in no other society are women a mans equal so your second sentence referencing an equal partner is only possible in western society. While other societies are doing better than other western societies are the only women that afford women true equality.

I'm aware you're just answering a question and no one expects insane detail but if you don't have full clarity don't call people paedophiles when it's your error.

People need to stop complaining about what they don’t have. Feminism, MGTOW, whatever. Just treat everyone how you’d want to be treated and stop complaining.

I wouldn’t say I’m a feminist. I just treat everyone the same, with respect and love.

Men can be feminists too but why can’t men be masculinists? Men should feel like they can be proud of their gender too.

Of course feminism can't be for men, that's like asking turkeys to vote for Christmas.

It used to be about equality but it's never been about actual equality but always a version of, that's acceptable to women.

By that I mean all of the rights but with none of the responsibility.

Now if you support equal rights for women, most men do by the way then you also support equal responsibilities for women, most men also do by the way.

What then do you get with today's iteration of feminism is actually a movement that's about hating men and assuming supremacy over men, making women free of all men by making all men slaves to women.

Aw, man, that was funny as shit! But seriously, no. Feminism isn't and never was for men - and I don't want it to be, God no. Feminists just try to argue that it is so that it seems like it works for everyone and doesn't leave anyone out. I want no association with such a group. Feminism also has a shameful and ironic history of racism, with feminism's classic heroes like Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucy Stoner showing it like mad when blacks were given the right to vote. Also, feminists in the 1920s literally did not want black women marching with them in the suffragist movement but just had them march in the back instead.

And in 2018, when feminists were organizing some kind of march, there was some controversy when a black feminist and a Hispanic feminist outright blamed the Jews and “asserted that Jewish people bore a special collective responsibility as exploiters of black and brown people,”.

Yeah, feminism is a real joke.

Feminism was created by Communists to destroy Western Civilisation, by destroying the family and destroying the masculinity of men.
See the Communist Manifesto (Marx, 1854) and the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion.
After you read those two documents, the true purpose of the programme of the left and the faux right will become self evident.
So, I would I wish to support an insane counter-factual ideology that is dedicated to the destruction of Western Civilisation and the extermination of my race?
    Hell no!

Feminism is absolutely for men too. The whole point of feminism is for women to be equal with men. It is so that men get the same rights to their children that women do. It is so that women get the same opportunities as men in regards to jobs. It is NOT so that women are put on a higher pedestal than men. It is purely so that women and men are treated equally in every part of society. Personally, I believe that the term feminism was adopted was because the movement for equality was started and pushed by women. But if the word makes you feel bad or you do not like the stigma with feminism, substitute the synonym equality for it. Feminism = Equality, and if anyone tells you different, they are wrong.

Yeah I think it pretty much is. Modern day feminism is all about equality of sexes. Patriarchy also hurts males, by putting us in too much stress and expectations to perform financially. Males are expected to man up in many occassions, shuns emotions and crying, expected to be more expendable in wars and so on. Shit that politicians caused, if it is risky, is mostly plugged by young male lives than young lives in general.

That, and it is the right thing to do.

The term feminism as it is really treated to day is to empower women. When you look to politics it is spoke of in in this fashion.
But when you look at feminist groups there is the problem of some in the group who believe women should get special treatment. As a single dad those women and sometimes men offend the hell out of me.

If they had their way my kids would be with someone that doesn't want to take care of them. That wants to party and drink and have doesn't care how she affects the lives of others so long as she has her fun. So yea I dont use the term as it is not the proper terminology. Equality sucks for everyone but it's still better than men getting screwed because they are a man.

I typically wouldn't label myself a feminist but I do believe there is qualities of feminism that is for male benefit too. Mainstream orthodox feminist ideology does teach that a society dominated by the male gender has had disastrous effects on the men themselves due to unreasonably high pressure and expectations on the men that has resulted in negative consequences for our emotional and physical health. For example the pressure for men to be doing the hard (and often dangerous) labour such as mining and combat has resulted in a lower life expectancy than females, combined with the belief that men aren't supposed to show emotions having increased the likelihood of suicide among men because it makes them feel like their emotions don't matter. Each of these according to orthodox feminist theory are caused by the system that their own gender is supposed to govern. It's even worse for working class males in particular

Feminism is an anti-man hate cult for the weakest most pathetic kind of female filth. You know, the fat ugly bitches nobody would fuck even if they paid them. These sorry wastes of oxygen crave sexual attention from men, they crave it so much that they make believe men want to rape them. Yep, they're actually that pathetic. They remember how nobody would even look at them in highechool (not without vomiting) so now they lie to themselves about how every man around them is. sexually harrassing them. Honestly, they should do the humane thing for themselves and end it all.

There are different types of feminsim. Some believe in solely wanting to empower women. Some feminism like the one I believe in, believes that all genders should be empowered, celebrated.

The feminist that I am, believes that equality for all genders is something we need to work towards. If you agree and you want to empower other people of all genders, races, sexuality - then you're a feminist.

I know what you said. But you can't tell us that you are feminist. You believe in some piece of it which is just a small part of the whole thing. And the whole thing is not for men too.
Don't get me wrong, I know that you want to say that you are kind of fighting for the right part but it simply is not like you told us.

I don't think you get what I'm trying to say.

No feminism is wrong, its all positive and I support all of that.

There are some feminists that believe it should be solely to empower women.
      - Fine. Empower those women.

Some feminists don't include people of different genders such as trans or non binary.
      - Fine. Empower those cis women.

I believe we should empower everyone, no matter their race, sexuality, gender.

I'm not going to explain all types of feminists so that you can get what I'm saying.

Everyone is an equal and should be treated as such.

Another straw man fallacy. Why would a gendered label be "equality"? I mean of course I can answer that. It's something to do with empowerment. Now if feminism is equality, I guess MGTOW and meninism should be equality too if you really want equality. But after all movements like those are just made out of self pity. Forgetting egalitarianism exist.

Feminism Has Liberated Men by insisting that women are physically equal to men and do not need men. So men have taken that to mean that they no longer have to marry, they can take jobs that give them just enough earnings to be comfortable, by not having to support a family, take on debt through mortgages, they can pursue any hobby, just by being a bachelor and interacting or not with women as the mood takes them.

Men are now doing what they want to do, not what women want them to do and that is why women are upset because they have no CONTROL over men any-more that is why they say that men are being sexist, because men are now looking out for themselves first and foremost.

Well done feminists you created this and you are now learning about the law of unintended consequences.

I think the term should be equity.
Feminism includes the word feminine and it was originally when we had a harder time long ago. Men already had properties, voting rights, chance to go to college, etc. Otherwise why even have the word feminine...

no, it's not. it's not even for women these days. it's for a very narrow group of special interest people. in a time where both men and women have the same rights, feminism has no place. but we are now in times where women are more previliged in front of the law than men are. so feminism is extra. it's creating inequality, not reducing it.

I don't think i could have said it better myself. It's not equality any more when a young teen girl drives a 2019 something and the 37 year old guy has always driven 15 year old cars.
Biggest pet peeve, when a girl calls a guy a rapist, she gets no punishment if he didn't do it. But if he did do it, he goes to prison.

That is NOT equality to me. Thats privileged women.

Or especially when guys lift heavy boxes for 8 hours a day, while most women never lift anything over 10 lbs.
I have worked with a very few hard working women. Women can do the same jobs (those women i commend for truly being equal in the work world).
But not the ones that sit behind a desk all day typing on a computer and playing on their phones all day every day.

Not every woman is a privaledged rich girl, there are a few that work very hard and are extremely kind people.

But it's like %15 that are like that to the %85 that's very privaledged and get everything for doing almost nothing.

@sonyeklund the car driving comparison is not comparing apples to apples. not a valid argument. i'm telling you that because with this argument you make yourself very vulnerable for very legitimized bullshit accusations if you discuss with a feminist.
also the lifting thing is a bad argument. nobody is forces anybody to do a job that they're not good at doing in this argument. it's just natural rational choice. if you wanna use that argument, make the argument that women being forced into stem fields that they are natrually not good at by a "female quota", is forcing people into doing stuff they're not good at instead of letting them choose to do what they are good at.

women can not do the same job as men in physical labour and they can (on aggregate) not do the same job in certain technical fields. there are exceptions but exceptions can't make rules for all women (female quote). there are certainjobs in which women and men perform equally well and in those jobs, no gender should be preferred. in jobs where gender correlates with performance, a gender choice is rational and should not be forbidden. it goes both ways. women are preferred to do certain jobs while men are preferred to do certain other jobs. it is not equal but equality in that would create unfairness.

those are strong arguments that feminists will have a hard time to tackle. the ones you mentioned are too emotional and reltively easy to invalidate. i suggest you don't use them.

in addition you can argue that women are punished less for crimes than men, if the crime is exactly the same.
or that men are more likely to die on the job, cause they will take the more dangerous jobs. no women fights for equal rights for women to die on a job... weird isn't it?

point out that feminists don't fight for equality but creates inequality. don't use those wishy washy arguments. show them that where they claim to fight for equality, they're cherry-picking the nice things. those are strong arguments.

Its in the word "FEM"inism. No no its feminasiz not real feminists, and what exactly are real feminists doing for other women let alone men? Only about 30% of people in America support feminism, that should be clue in itself.

No. And it never was. Instead when talking about equality, the old waves of feminism talked about make women equal to men as they started from a position where they've seen women as inferior. It was never inteded to make "men equal to women".

And nowadays it's just a shitshow of toxicity and cray nutjobs and some followers who are simply too naive and/or oblivious to see it.

    - Being offended about female characters in video games and any other media and say women should not be "oversexualized"
    - Complaining about being paid less when it's really based on the type of work chosen, etc.
    - Much more negative stuff.

Feminism is now a degenerate and totalitarian-ish movement. To hell with all of it.

No, it's an inherently feminine movement the describes men as a virus in its 4th wave. First two waves I would say yes but moddern feminists tarnished the legacy of the first two. Every movement has an "other" to be demonized for feminism (in its moddern form) thats white men. If the movement was for men too they would incorporate some men's rights into their cause. As a human rights movement. In reality their representatives demonize those who fight for men's rights.

No, despite the movement being always broadcasted as advocating equality for women and men, its only under the premise that is focused on women's rights. The problem is, people throw the term feminism around and people always bend their ideologies to serve what they are biased for. Thats why there's so much disagreement.

As much as I dislike MRAs, I never actually see mainstream feminists talk about the issues men face. In fact, most of them either brush it under the rug when asked about it or even encourages it.
Now, I definitely do not mean ALL feminists, or even the majority of the general population identifying as feminists, but the ones who actually get platforms and coverage.

There was a bar here in Sweden that introduced a new rule: Unless you are seen sitting at the same table or give a heads-up to the security guards saying that "We are here together", any sort of physical contact between people, including employees, would immediately get thrown out. The reason they decided to make that a rule was because some male customers had complained about being felt up by women and not having the security guard taking it seriously. When this happened, a lot of women in Gothenburg started REALLY complaining about it, because they were now forced to face the same consequences as a man and be held to the same behavioral standards. These were the same women who would be cheering if it was the other way around, but because they now can't go to a bar and touch men as much as they want, they considered it a violation of their rights and some even went as far as to say that the entire rule was "slut shaming" because it didn't allow them to be as creepy as they wanted.

Findom is created in Europe and femdom is created in Usa. BY FEMİNİSTS. Even 1 feminist in Grecee she use hypnotic videos. I saw plenty of feminists only who harass men and want money from them. Findom brain washing and humiliation videos are the most harasment videos towards men. Millions of kids use internet and they see those materials in twitter, in youtube. What do feminist Susan Wojcicki do against those videos? Feminist Ceo of youtube don't do anything. She let them and she also spread those videos to everyone. Cuz she is also a feminist.

So please, if you are a feminist, don't talk about bulshit. You can talk about bullshit but not in this level. Cuz your level of nonsense and bullshit stuff is extremely high. And that makes world sad. :(

Why we pay alimony to women, why we go to military but women don't. Why we don't go hospitals in our country ffree but women go free? Well the world is trying to move on from that, since quite a long time before you were born so if you could stop holding back the progress of humans that would be great.

Its about equality now you see so if you aren't backing that horse you are going to lose the race.

Can I ask which country are you from? In America only 30% of people identify as feminists, that says it all.

@Oram52 I'm from Italy and Vietnam but that's besides the point, I mean you don't really have to identify as a feminist to be one, if that makes sense. Like feminism before it got all twisted was simply the concept of wanting equality.

It changed with onset of third wave feminism, so you have pseudo-intellectual stuff like male gaze, male privilege, toxic masculinity, cultural appropriation etc. Its part of leftwing progressive politics.

Identifying as feminism is important if feminism is relevant, if not even half the population support feminism how would feminism be relevant today? That's the point it isn't.

Only about 25% of people label themselves as feminists in Italy so its unlikely all the guys around you are feminists :)

No I am not anti-feminist but that girl just annoyed me.
I think we need feminism in a lot of places in the world.
And some social structures and stereotypes need to be changed and that also applies to guys.
The demands we have for both genders are changing, I think for the better.
I think we are equal but not similar, yet complimentary.
Hence why both inputs in everything is necessary.

Yes. It’s simply equal rights for women. Anything more is adding undo burden onto a word. You want to hate social justice warriors fine. But feminism is simply one thing, equality.

    Yeah, for sure.

Some abolitionists were white people, you know. In turn, plenty of men support feminism.

I am a feminist and love to be dominated and humiliated by them. And I think asker is like me. :D This is good that feminism is raising and men become more and more of women's slaves.

No. Feminism is a hypothetical, man hating cult. They preach equality but demand special treatment.

It was never. Now is MGTOW for women too? No! What they really want is equity for their self pitty otherwise those movements wouldn't have been gendered.

No, it's equality for *women* (not that it isn't necessary in places of the world where women are treated horribly).

It just has no business existing in first-world countries in this day and age. We need a 'sex egalitarian' movement instead.

Technically, but I'll see 1 in every 100 feminists (if not more) that'll speak on behalf of men's rights.

If it's the feminism that's for equity and equality, I suppose you can say it's for men as well. The new feminists, that get press anyway, are not.

    TRUE feminism, yes.

It is supposed to be about equality across the board, fair treatment for everyone.

Sadly, the majority of feminism practiced these days doesn't follow this.

No. Feminism is a women's liberation movement. A man can be pro-feminist, but a man cannot be feminist.

Feminism is for equality of genders, that includes men too.
But don't forget that most of the present-day "feminist" are fake... they are in fact feminazis, not genuine feminists.

No, it is for women, at the expense of men. Power is a zero-sum game. When one identity gets more power, another identity loses it. That doesn't mean that feminism is bad. Maybe women deserve more power? But it definitely isn't for men.
